Illegal aliens need opportunity like everyone else. Education is an avenue to get them legalized. This is a country of opportunities. Since they are here why not give them the chance to improve their live through education?

Legally, they have to be able to go to public schools thanks to the Reagan era. But private schools can and should deny them. Nor should illegals be able to apply for financial aid or qualify for instate tuition. If due to laws we have to allow public education, we can at least restrict areas of it to save tax payers money. They are not legal and should not get the benefits of a legal resident or person on a student visa just because the Reagan era states we cannot deny public education or health care.

Perhaps because you do not know the truth of the illegal invaders?

Spend some time in here, look around at the other titles and see the truth.

Illegal invaders must be removed, for the good of the USA.

And whose taxes pay for them to get instate tuition as illegals at public colleges? My kids will be denied all financial aid because their parents are (gasp) married and Dad makes too much (at three jobs) and Mom works part time)...

If I have to pay for an illegal to get instate tuition and such, will you help me pay for my kids whose parents are busting their tails, trying to raise them right and will get nothing for them to go to school because we are doing the right thing?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

And illegals have the same opportunities. Going to college is a priviledge to be EARNED not given to them. I say let them in, but they need to pay INTERNATIONAL tuition and have a student visa from their country of origin.

Their parents have already managed to rob the US taxpayer of a primary education for their children, now they can pay the price for their own college education.

Great to see this new ruling..But I bet it won't hold in water. Just wait, someone will cry foul. They will continue to win.

Sadly I have a feeling this new ruling won't stick long, being our wonderful governor, as well as lax laws, don't seem to agree on anything. It is also a big contradiction between community colleges and the masses of illegal kids now enrolled in PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Seemingly there are no rules in place or law adhering them to have to provide proof of their citizenship. So here we are once again, standing at the fork in the road allowing the lawbreakers (illegals) to have the last laugh, and be able to win again. I sincerely hope this ruling stays in place, and I also hope and pray that our government officials, both local and federal will wise up to the astronomical destruction this issue is causing, not only on our economy, but our children's future.

I just talked to NC Rep. Leiebke re the NC House Bill 2717. The bill would force the colleges to not check the legal status of students and thus reversing the recent nationally covered decision of our Attorney General baring illegals from NC Community Colleges.
He stated , in so many words, that illegal alien students have the right to an education since their parent cames here to do our dirty work.
He said it would be no different if I moved
from Minnesota to NC and entered college.
I stated the difference was that I was a
citizen.
He said they need to be educated too. I said they need to be deported BECAUSE that is the law of the land.
He said since he knows we can not come to a meeting of the minds the discussion was over.
Guess he didn't want to discuss the legality of it.

Thats the reason the USA is in the shape its in. They keep turning their cheek to the "legality" of it all. I imagine in a couple of more years we'll see the Mexican flags being flown here instead of the red white & blue. Enjoyed your reply, and keep on keeping your stance. Someone has to fight, and I'll keep doing the same. God Bless.

Since I am a citizen and cannot break immigration laws, what other laws can I break to get myself or my kids a free education, and a job with no fear of recrimination?

Sadly none. The illegals are in a league of their own, and they know it. Our wonderful government stands behind them and not 'us'.......It's a sad future for our children indeed.

The citizens are the government and it won't be too long before the fools on the hill realize that.

Famous quote from President Ronald Reagan: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Which are the most frightening words in America......
