I was a victom of this scam and fortunately they only got $200 before I realized the unathorized deductions. I called the credit card company to report it and the representative informed me that the money was withdrawn from an ATM oversees. She stated that EPPIC would send me a form to complete and I would be reimbursed. 7 days later I got a letter stating that my claim was denied. I made a follow up call, but it did not solve the issue. Is there a pending Lawsuit that has been filed against ACS-EPPICard? How did these scammers know that I was a EPPICard user? Why didn't they send letters to inform customers of activity or possibly re-issue new cards upon notification of such activity? ACS has to take some kind of responsibility for this horrible scam.

I got a notice that my EPPCI ID was locked by too many unsucessful login attempts. The link labled as UnlockID actually goes to http://kma.javainfo.co.kr/.eppicard.com/i which is in south korea Obviously they have nothing to do with EPPI except steal your ID.
I got suspicious (you should Always be suspicious of this type of email) because i don't have an EPPI account.

They are now sending it out in text message form!! I don't have an eppicard and have never even heard of it until I googled it to see if it was some sort of scam. They ask you to call a number & apparently ask for your credit card information??? Just an FYI.

Both my brother and I have received a text message from them in the last two days. The number they tell you to call is 866-459-6967. I have never heard of Eppicard until now. Those getting text messages.....what provider are you with? I am reporting it to Sprint.

My son has gotten one as well. He asked me to look it up on line and yes, it is a scam. Contact your wireless carrier immediately and they can help stop it.

Sprint says they are aware of the problem and are attempting to eliminate the problem. The lady I spoke to in the fraud department sounded as if she was bored to death and didn't care that she was speaking to a customer. Yay Sprint.

I also am the lucky recipient of this scam on my cell phone while on vacation. I came into town to use the computer at the library to find out it is a scam before I called back this number with an unfamiliar name. I guess I can report it and hope they don't bill me for the text message, but I wonder if it is all worth the time.

If your text told you to call any of the numbers below, ask your provider for credit.

My text reads as follows:
"Subject: NOTIFICATION Your EPPICard account is closed due to unusual activity, please call us immediately at the toll free number: 17273889587"
I have never had an EPPIC account. Hope this helps.

i have sprint as well, maybe these scammers unfortunately hacked into sprints list of numbers or something. i got the text to call 17273889587. of course you have to be a complete idiot to actually do it. i laughed. then i thought, holy crap this may be serious. everyone should be paying close attention to their phone accounts/bank accounts and be cautious of any suspicious activity. notify the carrier/bank immediately as im sure they want to help you.

I doubt it. If anything, an employee sold the numbers or they are using the following. xxxxxxxxxx@messaging.sprintpcs .com

just start from 0000000000 all the way to 9999999999.
