Good idea. But still in areas of Mississippi a person can't even legally buy an adult beverage. MS is just backwards in some ways. |

i was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when i was 8 years old. i am now 24 and have been dealing with pain issues over the years and found that marijuana is helping with my struggles, marijuana does not eliminate the pain but has a soothing affect. i have found that if i use before i go to sleep it helps, not just to relax me so i can fall asleep with ease, i am not waking up to pain in the middle of the night there for i get a full night of rest and yes for the first time in a long time i have rolled out of bed with a smile on my face.

I agree with you all on legalization but partially. Ryan, my answer to you is research. Believer, my answer to you is anti inflammatory medications. They work far better than cannabis could ever hope to work. Side effects consisting of nausea and nervousness are far better than long term lung damage at your age. The "Po-po's" would be wrapped up in a lot idiots in traffic problems either in wrecks or causing wrecks due to indecision of proper traffic movements. Finally to Pumbaa, Alcohol is a poison. The only reason it is accepted is because white american men such as myself enjoy it so much. So much that when some idiot decided prohibition was a good idea that a war broke out. Americans were killing Americans. We all know what the results of the Civil War were. What's a few foreigners in the fertilizer pile? That is the way society looks at it. I should say looked at it. Politicians needed a replacement for the mass funds the BATF was generating and when Nixon saw his golden opportunity he jumped on it. Then came along Nixon's tax collectors aka the Drug Enforcement Agency. In all reality though, if folks in MS want a dry county that is their decision. It is a poison that I enjoy every other day at least. I don't blame them. At least they have the nerve to state their beliefs.

They should ligaliz it but tax it hard and make it just like alc and cigs (put a age limit on it )my grand mother has cancer and pain pills dont help much but when i'm in town i will smoke with her and she feel much better so yes it does help with the pain in cases but i think that you need to be really sick to get it and not just fakin so lets make it legal for the people that really need it the bible tells you to cherish the fruts and herds on the land and all it is a herb so really there not letten you worship the lord like he wants to so hit me back

I too had a granny in pain from cancer, nausea from the chemo, so she would to to CA and smoke weed. (her cousins grew it) at the time I was about 10 and I thought that was funny and cool. However, as an adult who lives in a dry county (which I hate but they cant seem to get enough voters to change it...is another story) I would think this county would want to be smoke free too. I suffer from fibromyalgia, degenerative disk disease, sever arthitis in hip (need a replacement hip) neuropathy, and few more to boot. I take an alarminally large amounts of medications that have side effects that are purely uncomfortable. If smoking weed would delete some of if only for a short time..then I would be greatly satisfied. And, I dont smoke.

I'm sorry but this just struck me as really really stupid. You think it should be legal for people who are really sick and not just faking, yet earlier you state when you come to your grandma's town you smoke with her because of her cancer. So what are YOU sick with that you deserve to smoke it? or are you faking? Don't take the long road, just legalize it for everyone. |

It's better than prescription pain killers and relaxers.

Marijuana should be legalised in the state of Mississippi, it has been shown to help those with terminal illnesses and numerous other health issues, togther we can bring medical marijuana to mississippi.

Legalize it.
What's the difference between relaxing with it over relaxing with alcohol and/or a beer or two, or three, or the whole case? They are all drugs that change personalities, remove pain and allow one to forget, for a short time. It's a personal decision to use and should not be the decision of lawmakers, control freaks or neighbors. |
