New Missouri law goes after illegal immigrants

This is a true story which happened in my small town. These three children feel the same about their mother as you do about your adopted daughter.
It was christmas eve and dad, myself and my two siblings were making christmas cookies. Dad was off today but mother had to work. We just finished wrapping mother's present the three children had purchased for her.
It was getting a little late, dad stated mother had to work over.
With anticipation, we hear a car door slam. Then a knock on the door. I guess mom was playing santa claus. Dad, winked at us and went to answer the door but it was a man's voice we heard.
We ran to the door to see a policeman who stated there was an accident. An illegal alien from Mexico was DUI when he hit mom head on. She was killed instantly but he only suffer minor injuries.
The illegal alien was being deported back to Mexico per the Mexican consulate in America to stand trial.
Years later as a teenager, I see this same man back in this town working at the landscaping business.
Since, this is a small town and everyone knows everyone. I am sure they remember what this illegal alien did and certain he spent no time in jail. Why would they hire him? Why would they hire an illegal?
Anyway, RIP mother.
No racism intended just the facts and the truth.
