how does anyone feel about a teen who writes an email saying her step dad is her "dad" bc he is there for her, pays for her ouse she lives in and food? Im her father I pay my child support, and medical and dental insurance, no Im not there, but how can I be if we live in different states? The teen refuses to visit anymore, and Im at the point I dont want her here either anyway.(last summer we caught her sneaking out of the house a midnight with the boy down the street!) I have been alienated from her by her mother since she was lil, and my daughter has NEVER called me DAD. NEVER told me she loves me, and I told her I love u every chance I got. Her other hates me and belittles me every chance she gets. I will be glad when she is an adult and Im free from MO DCSE.by the way, anyone have any experience with modification process?
Mike, we do. Your wife has my e-mail. We'd be happy to help you with what we know. I saw the myspace page....nice

I'm sorry your uncle died for nothing, blame those who supported this war. Of course they are shooting US soldiers- they invaded their country. If Iraqis invaded the US, don't you think common people would take up arms? They didn't ask for this war. You are right about not filling up with gasoline. Anyone at this point going to Iraq is going because they want to go. When you sign up at this point, you damn well know where you will end up.

Go find some other thread to spew your disgusting venom on...we don't want it here. This is about CSE, NCP, & child support.

How about you mind your own business, I already touched on the child support topic, but I'll do it some more. I feel sorry you for and the others like you, your own kids don't like or respect you and you want to blame them? Blame yourself for being a crappy parent and low-life. You shouldn't have had kids in the first place nor married someone with kids. I've got plenty more "venom" left as I call out the bullshit that I see. Nothing but a bunch of whiny-ass people who cry about paying child support or supporting beyond what they feel is the acceptable limit. That's a joke. Guess you should have been smarter and not procreated/lived/divorced in Missouri. Your paying now and nothing is going to change that. Semper Fi.

Why is it a joke? Do you feel that it's the states right to force one divorced parent to pay until the child is 21, and the next door neighbor only has to pay until 18? How about the divorced parent paying 100% for college, but the kid with the married parents has to get a job and pay for his own college? Ah, don't answer that. No one wants to hear what you have to say anyway. By the way... IT'S A FORUM...just like you would talk to Jane Fonda about issues that you have in common.

the reason why i am fighting for child support for my child is, she is 18 but still in high school, and she has plans to go to college. she and i both have jobs, but when you are in the society that we are in now days, it takes two parents to support a child. she has a seirous health problem, but she gets up everyday and goes to school and then to work. i do the same. so where is the other parent? he woeks when he wants, has other children that he does not take care of, so i feel that he needs to be made to get a job and help out with all of his children. all we ask for is 100.00 a month, that might help her get her books for college. and he has no intensions in doing that. for one, how can you turn your back on your own child in this awful world we livwe in now days? all she wants is to further her education, and get a good job, unlike her father. i have worked ever since i was old enough to drive, and she has had a job also.. what is wrong with the non-custodial parents stepping up and helping out?

This is my business ass-wipe, you don't know me, and you can say all you want about me as a parent...don't care. Your the joke, when you repsond to this forum with your idiotic clusess clutter. This is about the MO state law that is unfair to children who's parent has died and Social Security stops at age 18, or the kids of parents who are not divorced and have to pay their own way to college...you idiot. Still unfair to those kids, that children of divorce get child support as long as they attend college. The other kids aren't getting the same. Go to some other forum and gripe about the war...you can't be a US Citizen and dog the military...and if you are you should be shot.

Please don't lump all NCPs in one group. We might not all be happy with it, but if your child is going to college, get a lawyer and have your ex served. The way that my husbands ex has it, is that he is able to make a certain amount of money. There is no quitting and taking a lesser paying job. The money is taken right out of his paycheck. Also, get your parenting plan changed so that he has to help out with college. It's an easy process. Just get a lawyer, or at least a consultation. Chances are, in MO, he'll have to pay your lawyer anyway.

not trying to be a smart ass, but if i could afford to hire a lawyer, i could afford to pay for all of her college. i have tried to fight him for 18 years, and all i get is a brick wall. we have had aproxamintly 12 wage withholdings put on him, and he quits his job, he had a job making 23 dollars an hour, thay put a wage witholding on him and he quit. it all has to do with the fact that he thinks that i am benifiting from his money, and doesnt want me to have it. little does he know that she has got the child support ever since she started telling me what kind of clothes she wants to ware. i would just asoon he be gone form her life, but he is her father, he needs to be part of her life.......

What about kids who suffer autism or MR; those children are not eligible for SSD, Medicare or other forms of income until they reach the age of 21. This is really going to impact the single mothers of disabled children!

We need to send a message loud and clear to this legislator, do this and you do not get re-elected!

How many children in the state of Missour are MR or autistic? What will these mothers to support their special needs without the child support until they reach the age where other benefits can begin?

This guy is really dangerous in what he is doing here. I am certainly going to make sure I note this legislator's name and advocate for people to not re-elect him!

Talk to the state attorney generals office and tell them your story. They can help you. And really, my daughters biological father offered to pay for her abortion. Sometimes you are better off with them not being in their lives.

I have a mixed family, 18yr old step child and 3 daughters of my own, 1 from a previous marriage. I think that child support should stop once a child graduates from high school. 18 doesn't quite get it. My sd turned 18 before her senior year even started. My husband has paid his child support since she was 2. He also helps her with gas money, fixes her car and helped her buy her prom dress and will continue to help her when she needs it. We have a 12 yr old and a 6 yr old together. We can't afford to send any of the girls to college. Why should we continue to pay child support for the 18 yr old to go to college when our two youngest won't have that opportunity? Just because her mother didn't want to be married anymore? My ex is in a similar situation. He has another daughter by his new wife. I would like for him to help pay for college, but don't think that the state should MAKE him. College is not a requirement, it's a choice. I'm all for college. I have a college degree. My parents weren't required to help me pay for it. The law as it stands now makes children of married parents the deprived ones. I'm sorry if a child from a divorced home has trouble paying for college because their mother no longer receives child support. What about the kids from stable homes that can't afford college? Why should their be a difference?

I am with you, I have the same situation and to add to mine, my middle child's father died when she was 18 months old, and Social Security stops when she is 18 or graduates from high school. That is the way child support should be also. Very few states continue CS after high school or past the age of 18 which ever may come first.

"My middle child's father" my middle baby-daddy. Multiple kids by multiple men, you should have been sterilized you nasty little thing. Child support should stop at 18 just like some people shouldn't be reproducing.

She agrees that child support should stop at 18!! That is why she is on this forum. And for crying out loud...he died. Hard to stay married to him after that.

that is all fine that child support stops at 18. but what about all the years that he is behind? shouldnt he be made to pay all of the back support? if he was to pay all the back support, my daughter would be able to go to college..5000.00 is a felony, why is he not in jail? i understand that if he is in jail, we get no support, but why should he be out and have all the finer things in life and his child not have anything? he has a new truck, wears the finest of clothes, gold rings and chains, and diamonds. it is a bill just as a light bill, water bill, trash bill, rent, if you dont pay it you dont have it. so i feel that if he dont pay, he dont get to see her,,,
