repeal the Michigan Driver responsibility fees

Punishing drunk drivers is absolutely fine with me, but in my case the law was manipulated to provide me with a wonderful OUIL when I never drove or had the intention of driving, yet I get to owe the maximum fine.... go figure.

the sad part about this law is that i received the fee for an expired license that was expired by one week... when it comes to drunk driving and other dangerous offenses i could understand a penalty.. not monetary, when you have people that need to get to work and they are broke, other methods of punishment should be enforced if they way to go that route.. but an expired license with a clean record i end up paying $400 because i forgot to mail in a $19 check... that is sad for a state to do that. hence i got my ass out of the state. one thing after another they are sinking the ship at a pathetic rate...
