between the incompetence and corruption, rampant throughout local and state government, together with the "penny wise and pound foolish" strategic business mentality, is anyone really surprised by this statistic?

I run 40# of pressure in 16" tires as my defense against pot hole tire blowouts. On my regular routes around town, I have the trouble spots memorized as to the best line through them. There are times when I move to the right half on the shoulder while the car behind takes the straight line. I look in the mirror and see their teeth chattering. This is not a new phenomenon to Michigan either.
The greedy bastards in Lansing got a ton more money in sales taxes when gas went up and they want more now that people are driving less. Less mileage means less road damage, but they only see $$$$$ in Lansing. |
