Maybe I am to close to this accident to comment neutrally. But whatever. I am a Taylor student, I saw the pain and suffering first hand that was caused by that accident. I have a hard time even calling it an accident. I do not understand how anyone can accidently fall asleep while driving a semi truck. His bond should not be reduced, and if he gets away with anything but life in prison it isnt enough. he has been charged with recklas driving once already, he killed five people, he tore lives apart, he deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life. I see no other argument.

You all need facts before judging this man. He may have tried all he could to save people in a car while driving a truck. Many issues you don't address.

What facts he admited it??? duh. Mabybe next time it might be you or your Kids. you need to do a little fact finding resource on how often this Happens. A Lot of the LTL driver cares about is getting from point A to Point B, not caring about sleep, speed or you.

Asking for a reduction in his bond is the duty of a defense lawyer, it is not ground breaking news. The driver is a man that has not been convicted of a crime that may want to try and keep making his house payments to keep a roof over the head of his family.

Having 9 people in a mini van overloads the vehicle and makes it terribly unsafe to travel in and make emergency manuvers. I would put my faith in a professional driver that has been driving for many many years, over a bunch of teenage girls in a minivan!

Unless he was under the influence of drugs including alchohol, I don't see how a jury will convict him of anything but just..."having an accident"

Are there even 9 seat belts in a mini van?
