Checkers Drive-In Restaurant Opens in Salisbury on June 27th

SALISBURY, MD (JUNE 23, 2009)– Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc., the nation’s largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants is coming to Salisbury, Md., on Saturday, June 27!
Anne Arundel County, Md., residents Clifford, a lawyer and Jeaunice Pulliam, a credit analyst, are the new franchise owners of this popular nationally known eatery.
The couple is opening the first of 10 Checkers Drive-In Restaurants planned across Delmarva – bringing the prospect of numerous new jobs into the region. Salisbury resident Karl V. Binns, Sr. is the operations partner. Sharon Marvel, also of Salisbury, is the general manager of the first location.
Located on South Salisbury Boulevard, across from Giant Shopping Center, in Salisbury, the Grand Opening will be Saturday, July 11th. Hours are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday, from 10a.m. to 2 a.m.
With two drive-thru lanes and a walk-up window at more than 800 locations nationwide, Checkers is positioned for today’s “on-the-go” guest. Known for its full-flavored, hand seasoned burgers, thick shakes and famous seasoned fries, Checkers/Rally’s provides the great tasting, fresh food with the robust flavors guests crave – making the brand slogan,“little place. I was passing thru on a small "tank of gas weekender" and saw a lot of activity at this shiny new place on eatery row. I love thick milkshakes and good french fries. They seem to be tweaking some of their opening day flaws, but these two items were undeniably DONE RIGHT! I was going to send a post to Checkers mgmt. about how glad I was to find this in Salisbury, MD. Then I saw your posted article. I applaud anyone willing to do what others always just talk about - become their own person/boss. I hope this couple gets the support they need to make it and help the community of Salisbury continue to prosper. Don't be afraid of the burgers - they are really good too! Yum, yum eat 'em up.

I have never been so un-satisfied with a fast food chain ever! The burger was poorly made, the lettuce was soggy, the bread was old tasting, and the restaurant was extremely dirty! I dont even know how they pass health code. I DO NOT recommend eating there EVER!
