If you live in Canada, you won't have to pay for it.

Yes, we all need an education but
we don't need other people to support us.

My husband took 11 years to graduate from college because he worked full time and paid his own way.

We need to STOP enabling Mexico and all other countries who dump their poor and illiterate population.

Mexico's economy is better than ours..

I live in Maryland and i don't believe in giving anything to illegals but at the same time there really isn't that many illegals that would even qualify for this program for financial reasons or acadimic reasons.
We need to remember that in order to move ahead in life you need an education and if you look at the way that most Mexicans reproduce(they don't believe in birth control) they have 4,5,6, chidren each it's difficult to put one child through college let alone two or more especially at the wages the majority earn, there are a few exceptions to the rule and they are the ones we least need to fear IMO, the ones that we need to dread are the ones that feel that getting an education is selling-out to their race and think it's not macho to have a education.
So, even though i don't agree with giving in state tuition over others it's not something if you really look at it that really hurts anyone unless a U.S. citizen gets left out.

Please ensure legal residents are given priority before illegals. There are thousands of tax paying residents waiting in the line to become a permanent resident of this country.
I cannot digest the fact that illegal residents are given these privileges funded by tax payers money.
I came to US (from India) as a student on a scholarship legally, got a job legally and pay my share of taxes, doing my bit to the community and am still waiting for my permanent residency application to be approved ( filed in 2007).
I have no problem if these illegal aliens leave the country, get a student visa in their home country and come here and then get funded.
US citizenship is a privilege and an proud to be in this country. I'm sure it is worth the wait.

Thank you and thanks to the many like you who want to become proud American citizens and are willing to do it legally. You are the immigrants that most of us welcome.

The Socialist Republic Of California provides illegals in-state tuition and loans/grants;let illegals move there and enjoy the $15 billion+ state deficit.
How many illegals have YOU paid tuition for?

Welcome to our country and thank you for posting your positively wonderful comment and for respecting our laws. As you have probably already read, some of the posters here arrogantly brag about being here so long and how inhumane it is to even think our government would deport them because they've been here so long illegally and deserve amnesty because they've never committed ANY CRIME. Funny they consider being here illegally a pathway to citizenship!!Absolutely absurd! Good luck to you.

Illegals shouldn't even be allowed in college - or HS or grade school for that matter.

On this point, I have to disagree with you. Millions of children running around this country and not getting any sort of education would be a real disaster. Those children did not chose to come here illegally, that was their parents choice and punishing the children to get back at the parents is the wrong thing to do.
I do agree that the American tax payer should not be burdened with paying for the college education of illegals, we have enough difficulty paying for our own children and many will be in debt for years if they are able to find a job to even begin paying their student loans.
Taking away the jobs and government benefits that draw those illegal parents here would certainly go a long way toward helping them to self deport. Their sense of entitlement would come to an abrupt end.

Stop hating on the illegal immigrants, i know some people that did not have the choice on coming here illegally. Stop wasting your time with Stuff that doesn't really matter. Have you guys wondering why so many people come here illegally. The True fact is that is more difficult for a person to come here legally than it Is illegal.

It's more difficult to work and earn your money then it is to just rob a bank and take theirs too but it does not make bank robbery legal or morally right!
Expecting our immigration laws to be enforced and our borders and ports of entry secured is not hate, it's common sense.

A good bet would be that you pay no taxes;a student, disabled and/or living off the taxpayers yourself.A woman in the U.S. illegally,in labor, goes to the ER;who do you think pays her $6000+ medical bill? 75% of all Hispanic children born in America, according to USDA stats, are on WIC-where does the funding for that program come from? Does it fall out of the sky?

Good post today that are right on rack with the facts. We cannot continue to be the give away society as we cannot financially afford to do so. The attitude that those whom are pro on giving a free education to any person who can make it across the border, in the middle of the night, as now qualified for our true citizens benefits, is beyond me. These funds are intended for true US citizens of that state only. Our children are being offered up as human sacrifices for children that are not really even supposed to be here in the first place. Emotionally, its tough but thats why these children of illegals are really just collateral damage due to the actions of their parents...crossing into this country in the middle of the night. But they are innocent people...only wanting a better life...well yes, there are many things I would like to have but, ...I do not steal something away from another whom is truly entitled. What wuld happen to me if I took my children to Central America and said I need food and free education for these kids. I would be rounded up immediately. We let these thieves march down our streets without any question. Bizarre. This would not have happened to Eisenhower and I dont think Romney is going to allow this shit to continue either. This country has got to be run like a smart man runs a succesful business...well planned, organized and with control. This cannot continue. We cannot allow the third world to just walk in and slowly take us down. We take down foreign nations overnight...we can clean this shit up the same way. Its tough..hardline..may seem cruel..but its time to get tough and borderline brutal..got to happen...and very soon. Your childrens future is on the line too.

Do we really want people in our country that break our immigration laws because they don't want to wait to enter here legally?

You don't take your first step to become an American citizen by committing an illegal act to get here.

Our citizenship is worth more than that.

Agree?

"The True fact is that is more difficult for a person to come here legally than it Is illegal." - Tell that to the thousands of people who enter the country legally. They went thru hoops to get here legally and know what it takes to be here. What you expect.. do we need to put someone in the border waving a green card for everyone entering illegally. This is not a flea market.

Have travelled to many other countries, I, sure US is the only country which shows bit of compassion towards illegal residents.Try doing this in any other country and the illegal fella will regret it forever due to harsh penalties.

Like I said before US citizenship is something that is earned and not granted automatically.
