Two hours a day, Jeff Davis works at staying alive. He inhales a succession of medications, runs on a treadmill and sometimes performs breathing exercises that produce gurgly, crackling sounds.

This was a great article it is wonderful to hear their is hope on the horizon for a treatment for the disease not the syptoms. The only thing i wish you had stated in the article so that those who don't know are aware, not all people affected are all affected the same way. some are worse than others whereas some are more effected in the lungs than anything else and vice versa. I would love to be able to read another article about the varying degrees of CF, how some are more effected than others.

I can't imagine what's it's like to live each day wondering if I'm going to take my last breath. I never knew what CF was but a friend of mine sent me this link. His wife's sister died of the disease and she is participating in the walk. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone with this disease know that I will be praying for you and that a cure will soon be found. May GOD bless you all.
