Memo to state lawmakers: Tag me out - and save

This is a no-brainer. Let's do it!

Sounds good. The Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA) Police have been stuffing the state coffers with the proceeds for enforcing this inane requirement for years.

If we did it we might be endanger of losing our state motto "The fee state".

If the cost becomes too much of a burden, Our boy governor will simply raise the cost of registration to offset that amount.

How many hit and runs have been solved because the front tag came off of the guilty driver? Maybe that is MD still requires them.
Do you really think our politicians can spend any savings wisely. They haven't proved it to me..

All I can say is that I know a man who moved here from Tennessee and, believing himself either smarter than the law or above it, merely fails to put his front tag on his car. True, he's daring a cop to stop him; but really: How many cops are going to stop a car with no front tag and walk around it to see if the back tag is from Maryland?

I had my front tag wind up in the carcass of a deer that some bozo nailed going the other way and slid under my car at 45mph.(He kept going by the way).

As I was dressed for work, I didn't retrieve the tag. On my way to Glen Burnie to get a replacement at the MVA, I was stopped by a Tunnel Nazi, who wanted to issue me a ticket for not having a front tag.

So we can't get rid of them. They are yet another money maker for the tax and spend gang!
