Actually, I have no problems. I am a straight man, and as such have access to marry in every state in the union, and should I decide to do so that marriage is respected in all others states, as well as by the federal government.
However, I am also intelligent enough to see that the US constitution mandates that states provide all persons within their jurisdiction equal protection of the laws; it further enjoins states from making laws that abridge the rights of US citizens (e.g. gay marriage bans).
The US Supreme Court has held that laws may be made abridging constitutional rights, but only when doing so serves a compelling state interest. Can you indicate such an interest served y denying same sex couples equal protection of the law to marry.

You should never say things like this. It makes the pro-gay instantaneously feel that they are doing the right thing by raking society over the coals for all of this, and only redoubles their determination. The question is, can YOU. If you're pro-gay, you're stupider than I thought for being critical of ME, since I've assumed you're antigay all this time.
