I asked him if he could wait while I called my husband. He said let the man cut the grass, and give him $50. At least he is trying to take care of himself He was very happy. It took him 2 hours. He used our mower so he didn't even have to buy equipment. He is coming back in 10 days. \ You full of it and you know it...YES it does matter what one does at 18. This shows the character of a person and his bonehead decision to put his dog in a crate on top of his car for a trip is just as STUPID. He has NO judgement and should not be in office for anything!

OK, so Romney remains clueless. And this surprises who, exactly?
Don't worry, he'll reverse his view next week.

It is a great thing and the right thing TO DO, AS MR. ROMNEY STANDS BY THE POSITION OF disapproving Obama on the issue of GAY MARRIAGE FIRMLY.
THE following is the news telling the story:_______
Romney opposes civil unions 'identical to marriage'
By Catalina Camia, USA TODAY Updated 1d ago
Updated 6:02 p.m. ET
Mitt Romney restated his opposition to same-sex marriage today, following President Obama's endorsement of such unions.
CAPTION By Henny Ray Abrams, AP "When these issues were raised in my state of Massachusetts I indicated my view, which is I do not favor marriage between people of the same gender and I don't favor civil unions if they are identical to marriage other than by name," Romney said in an interview with KDVR-TV in Denver.
BLOG: Obama supports gay marriage
"My view is that domestic partnership benefits, hospital visitation rights and the like are appropriate but the others are not," the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said.
Obama earlier today told ABC News that "same sex-couples should be able to get married," becoming the first U.S. president to endorse gay marriage.
The Democratic president's statement came days after Vice President Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan embraced gay marriage and exposed differences on the topic within the Obama administration. Obama had been saying his views on the issue were "evolving."
Later in the day, Romney left the parsing of Obama's evolution on the same-sex marriage to the news media. "This is a very tender and sensitive topic as are many social issues, but I have the same views I've had since running for office," Romney said after a campaign stop in Oklahoma, according to MSNBC.
USA TODAY will have more on the impact of the president's endorsement in Thursday's editions.

Mormons will baptize you after death. Wonder why Mormons are so god awful interested in genealogy? They are going to baptize everyone against their will. They baptized some Jewish people until they were requested to UN Baptize them later.

Detroit is another city run into the ground by too many Democrats. It is like a ghost town with empty buildings, empty neighborhoods, a terrible almost non existant school system. They couldn't provide workers if business decided to go there.

If he were in charge...God FORBID...he would want to turn the country into a Taliban style religious state and control EVERY move of the people, the way the church did in the middle ages...of course, that moved society into the Dark Ages. We see how BEAUTIFULLY that works in the Middle East also. Based on comments I see on the boards, I think people think I am frothing at the mouth over here. Not the case. I have simply become *ferally, fanatically forceful* in stating my opinions, because NO WAY are the antigay going to get more forceful and full of conviction than I am. I can't get the rest of you to go along with me, but I will be god-freaking-f*cked-raw if I am not going to speak with all the conviction within me and without ever once hesitating to speak *exactly* as I please however I want, wherever I want, whenever I want. Then you might corner me and start a conversation and I become the most docile thing, pleasant beyond belief, deferring to you and being polite as anyone on the planet, hahahaha. It's because of the antigay that I act with that rabidly forceful demeanor. And I won't stop so long as they have anywhere *NEAR* an influence as they do now, because I am obsessed by this point with setting an example to anyone who opens their eyes and ears and is willing to listen. They are IDEOLOGICALLY obsessed and so they have to be fought in the same rabid manner. I say all this because it's interesting to me that you stated in your post what I think of the two of them, as you distilled it from what I said above. And I thank you.

I honestly believe based on the PSYCHOLOGY of the antigay that victory would come quicker if the pro-gay adopted their obsessed attitude not necessarily AT THEIR SCREECHING AND FEVERED PITCH, but in the sense that believing in these rights and fighting toward them *becomes ingrained into your daily life*, all over the nation, with millions of people living that way and refusing to back down *in their day-to-day lives*, at any cost. God oh god, would it send a powerful message worldwide.

After all, Women's suffrage, integration, and interracial marriage all came smoothly with no resistance or fanfare whatsoever. Would that your fantasy world were reality, or that people merely followed the constitution, and it guarantee of equal protection of the laws. In that case, this would not be an issue.

If it sucks to be you, kindly don't try to implicate me in it. I'm not interested. But I can make that emphatically clear, if you'd like. Cry elsewhere. This is exactly the attitude that "opponents" laugh at, and I want no part of it. So "sorry" I have the freedom to reject it, but you could always learn something. Which you knew.

I have spent my life being humble and not ruffling feathers and it has gotten me nothing. I moved to this gay town, about 45% gay and lesbian population and have never been happier. I am more out, never was IN, than in Los Angeles and have been involved in several organizations, one for HIV and one for elders, and am having a real ball. I admire anyone outspoken. Frankly, in the 70's when I was a young whipper snapper, all of a sudden gay was cool. David Bowie, Glitter rock, Village People, etc. I thought that when I got older, people would have calmed down a bit. I find these times today MORE repressive than 1977! We have a long way to go. And, you are one to fight the fight. Kudos.

And, you are one to fight the fight. Kudos. What frightens me is people like the one just above, who "took me to task" for having this attitude, basically. There is a very, very, very stubborn conviction -- so stubborn it looks like a mental disease -- that any outspokenness or vehement will to fight is disastrous and counterproductive to the rights movement. The rest of my post went on at length about that. I will not subject you to such rambling. I think repression is much, much worse now than ever. It's that ceaseless, ceaseless tide of "religion" that will brook no dissent and demands like the most hysterical talking c*nt on earth that it must be heeded and must be obeyed. What must happen is that it must be fought every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year. In fact, I'd deem the pro-gay peculiarly brilliant if they began offering free classes nationally about LOWERING your inhibitions, not from a sexual standpoint but simply from the standpoint of STANDING UP FOR ONESELF shamelessly and as calmly or rabidly as the situation dictates. Thank you for your post! You are very kind!

And, you are one to fight the fight. Kudos. The TOPIX board has a higher amount of threads that are gay oriented then others on the board. People live by comfort. Times are getting tough and will get worse. By that, the haves and have nots will separate further. And many will be for the worse. Ugliness will expand as it always does. People in movements lose sight of the goal long term with short term advances that give the appearance of acceptance/nirvana/perceived equalities/whatever else. The forgotten ingredient is foundation. The legitimate idea mixed in and hardened in concrete. Looking for the end result of marriage while many people are still wary and some still snickering while the forced government mandates are smoothing over but not eliminating the general public general view is not foundation. The slow elimination of personal wealth over the next few decades makes it even dicier. Poverty breeds a more macho environment with a different type of living then the hetero norm not long lived. This thinking has permeated many of the other movements also in the last half century or so.
