Yes we are luck our father made it throught this one, but who's father or family member will it be next. Drinking and Can't Read Does Kills

I understand they were drinking and driving, and they had no insurance or whatever. But have some respect for their families at least. It doesnt matter who you tell not to drink and drive ppl are still going to do it. I've seen ppl whose kids or wife or husband were killed by a drunk driver but they do it anyway.

Just stop and think for a minute how hurtful your words are and be thankful no one else was killed.

Yes, We all are thankful your father made it in this horrible accident, but at the same time, watch your mouth with those negative comments!! Both of those young ladies are gone. Kids don't have a mother, and yes, they both have families that are mourning. If you don't have anything good to say, don't say nothing at all!!

Where is Highway 420???

Highway 420 is the road that Pointe Coupee Central highschool and Labarre Elementry school is located on. It runs into LA 1 before you get to morganza.

you know dreamd33 is my sister and i will defend her in every way i can, we are thankfull my father is alive, but you also have to see it from our view, those two girls tryed to kill him, but they didnt make it through to do it, if they had kids, they really didnt care much about them if they was drinking and driving!!!! i can sit here on this computer typing to you retards all day but it wont make much of a difference.. my father is not mentaly stable to do anything and whos at fault???? i know! i can really care less who is here to speak or not, but let me tell you one damn thing i am sick of these drivers who think they can get in a car and drink and not kill someone or another person. i have two kids, dreamd33 has 3... do you honestly think we would get in a car drunk and drive? No, dont think so, you can flame us all you want, we all know who is in the wrong here.... when those two girls got in that car drunk that morning their faith was no longer in their hands.. even if my father was not in that wreck, those two girls still would have died, if my father was going faster than he was 4 ppl would have died that morning not 2... so sit here and make all the little comment you want to make you feel better about yourselves, it wont change anything, and it wont change the faith of anyone else...YOU DRINK YOU DRIVE YOU DIE!! very simple!!!

well ill put it to you this way. Quit griping and moaning about how this coulda happened and what if this would have....be thankful and grateful your father is here. No one went after him with a vengenece the way you make it out to be. These women made a mistake and now their families are paying the price. Have some respect for their families at the very least. I cant stand when people bad mouth others without knowing all their facts and the fact is you should quit using the internet to bad mouth people who cant speak for themselves. We are only human and we all make bad judgements sometimes but we all pay for them as well. Everything happens for a reason.

I agree as well. No one is trying to attack you lauxes. It was a very immature decision made by Rene (Norma). She answered to the name Rene. She was my cousin. She is also from New Roads. I am thankful that your father is ok and that no one else was hurt. It is not only wrong and dangerous to drink and drive but you can take that a step further to it is wrong to do anything that will handicap yourself behind the wheel of a motorized vechicle. That could be Alcohol, drugs (illegal or legal), or something simple as a prescription or over the counter meds. She loved her kids very much and I know for a fact it wasn't her intention to try to kill your father, herself, nor her friend that was a passenger in that car. The Battley family is a well known, good family in New Roads, and other than this incident, I can't think of no trouble that any other family members have caused in town. The point is this is a lesson that we should teach our kids and also adults that make immature decisions, just like my big cousin did.
