Awesome; a chance for young single mothers to move from welfare by getting a college education. The more people we can get out of the welfare system the better this area will be. A working class supports a community.

To think that UPike has been talked about so bad on here. Then something like this comes out that they are trying to do. Kinda makes a feller go hmmmm to figure out how people is going to talk down on this idea like making UPike a public university.

They have been working on this project for a long time. It certainly doesn't demonstrate any kind of elitist, but rather a sincere concern for the people of this area and the area's future.
sorry

This project sucks. I have 2 kids, living on their own, making ends meet by the skin of their teeth. No insurance, junk for cars, can't pay rent nor insurance. But they are out there fighting instead of crying to the government. They won't qualify for nothing, no insurance, no real baby sitters, no college education. That sucks that there is a way for those to get all this free, when my kids don't qualify. The mark of broken system when those trying end up in worse conditions than those sittin on their arses.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Aquarius

Watch out if you're going shopping, because you'll be tempted to splash out on impulse buys. This doesn't matter so much if you're feeling flush, but it could cause problems if you're supposed to be counting every penny. Whatever the state of your finances, you may buy items you don't need and possibly even won't like when you look at them again tomorrow.
