If pot were legalized the sale of it would be difficult to control. Of course legalizing pot would mean the state would get the revenue from the sales. Who would benefit? I say the state would. Legalizing pot would be like legalized alcohol. There would be more people addicted to it. I have lived in the cities where alcohol is legal and sold in almost every store. I have seen what legalization of a dangerous drug can do. No. I don't think pot should be leagized.

pot is not a dangerious drug i have been smoking since i was very young i am now in my40s i know alot of smokers and none of them are in danger or do they cause any trouble leave the pot smokers and pot dealers alone go after the hard drug dealers

Get real. All the pot dealers I've known have access to the hard drugs if I wanted them.
Drug addicts/dealers know other drug addicts/dealers.

I have smoked pot for 10 years and the only trouble i have had was being arrested once, let a brotha get high

The pot smokers I know here in town are most likely to miss work. Now the meth users don't work at all unless they are breaking into homes or buisnesses.
But then again the pot smokers I know do use meth occasionally.
I preach to them that vitamins like vitamin B-12 gives me plenty of energy and I don't have to worry about my teeth falling out because of meth or losing my job over pot.

I don't understand how you can say pot is not dangerous??? As a former occasional pot smoker myself, I know if I wouldve gotten behind the wheel of a car after smoking I would've killed myself or someone else. So, I do believe it can be dangerous.
On the other hand I do not believe it is any more dangerous than alcohol and I do also agree that there are worse things the police could go after...

A lot of people are just stupid. The fact that they smoke pot doesn't mean thats the reason they're stupid, they would still be just as stupid if they didn't smoke pot.

If marijuana was made legal, it would open the doors to many things. Hemp is a reusable product that you can make thousands of things from, everything from paper to gas. When this country first started out, you could pay your taxes with hemp. It grows easy, doesn't take from the soil and there really isn't anything bad about it.

If marijuana was legal, it would clear our prisons out somewhat, making room for the people that commit violent crimes. It would clear the judicial system up since there were over 700,000 arrest last year just for simple possession of the drug.

Marijuana has never killed anyone. Some people say it has because of car wrecks, but the wreck killed them, not the drug. Thats like saying the cell phone killed the guy that wrecked his car, or the Whopper killed the fat guy that wrecked his car. Marijuana is a safe drug especially when you compare it to alcohol and nicotine.

You dont want your doctor smoking it while he operates on you? Well no shit, you probably dont want him drunk either. You can still drug test for important jobs like that. Do I care that the guy that mows my yard is high, or the guy that flips my burger for 5 bucks an hour is high? Hell no, Id probably be high too.

I know a lot of responsible, functioning marijuana users. I had a blast with the drug myself during college. You have to remember that people sometimes need an escape. A break from reality so they dont blow their brains out if they had a bad day. Look at all the people strung out on pain pills. Ive know a lot of people thats went to rehab over them, no one goes to rehab over marijuana, it is by far the safest drug out there.

Reasons for legalizing marijuana far out weigh its prohibition. It was legal until the 40s I think and if you do some research on why it was made illegal, its because people thought that women would some it and sleep with the black guys. I did an essay for my ENG102 class on it. Its really stupid how this drug got a bad wrap. Just watch the movie reefer madness. Kids jumping out of windows on it, raping girls and shooting people because they got high. The whole thing is just stupid.

Just about any song you hear on the radio the artist smokes pot, a lot of actors and famous people admit to smoking it. Just think about all the people that do it but dont talk about it because they dont want to get in trouble.

Marijuana is pretty much legal in California. Its medical marijuana but anyone can get a card for it. Look at the crime rates since its been legal, they actually go down compared to when it wasn't legal. Marijuana isn't a bad drug. I think its stupid that I can walk across the street and buy an OC 80 but I would have to drive out to the country to get a bag of weed. I think its stupid that I can snort pills all day, shoot up coke and lay up drunk for a week and pass a drug test in 3 days, but if I smoked pot a month ago I would fail it. I think its stupid that I can rape a girl, get out of jail and get financial aid to go to school, but if I get caught with a joint, I have to pay my own way.
