The rising prices are affecting us all. Share what you are having to change because of the cost.

I drive an SUV and live where there are a lot of hills, so my gas mileage really suffers. I am not the only one in my office with this problem. It is to the point where we are considering moving our offices to a building that is more centrally located to all of us who work here in order to save on fuel costs. Biking to work has become the big fad out here, especially since most of our offices have a gym where you can come in early and shower after the long ride in before work.
Please Explain

All but one of my children live in Kansas City MO. We have a mid size SUV which doesnt do to good on gas so needless to say our trips will really be cut back. The bad thing about that is we have a TBI son that lives in Burlington Kan with assisted living. On groceries we're really trien to cut back so we can afford the gas. Vicious circle!

I've slowed down to the speed limit. That bumps my mpg's a little. I don't run to the store every little whipstitch. I try to get what I need in 1 trip.

My wife and I now post everything we want to do and work them around necessary trips like to the grocery store, the doctor's and dentist's offices, etc. Then we add trips and do a 'round robin. We realize how many trips we used to make to just go to one place.

When my kids were in school, there were a number of times that it took 4 vehicles to get 4 people to the same football game. I wonder if we had been conserving fuel 15 years ago, if we'd be in this mess now?

I'll bet a bunch of teenagers will slow down on their cruising. We sure did that a lot when we were young.

I drive the speed limit all the time, now. And I notice a lot of other drivers are also, which makes speeders more noticeable. I think it intimidates some of them.

Fuel is now up to $4.67/gallon here, for lowest octane.

Actual cost comparison on a 2007 Tahoe using e85 vs. gasoline on 2 recent identical trips to Colorado and back, one using gasoline, the other using e85. Environmental conditions were very similar,(temp. wind, etc.) and mileage was identical (667 miles)as the destination and route were exactly the same. Results showed that to make up for less efficient e85, cost must be a minimum of $1.08 per gallong cheaper to break even.

Just thought people might be interested in this information.
