I'm glad that Senator Akaka decided to follow the popular vote.

He had a close call himself and his popularity was what helped HIM.

This is good!

How can anyone support a person who remembers, incorrectly, that she had been SHOT at!??!!! That is just nuts.

are you kidding me? the only reason Akaka casts his superdelegate vote for Obama is because "the writing is on the wall" that he will surely be the Democratic nominee for the White House! Akaka related that he is casting his vote for Obama because he is following the overwhelming choice of the people of Hawaii for Obama in his victory over Hillary in the Hawaii caucus. Yeah right! Don't let this "do-nothing" fool you. His vote for Obama is nothing but a political strategy to to gain voters to support him when his seat is challenged and to appease the potential Democratic Presidential frontrunner.

If Akaka was honest in his reasons for casting his vote for Obama. Why did it take him so long to do so??? Did he just now get the results of the Hawaii caucus? Hmmmm....???

get real.

Cmon now. There is no way Akaka runs for re-election for his seat. He will be over ninety by that time. It took him so long cause Inouye is still hoping like Hanabusa is. I hope we all remember that these people are in it for their own political standing by not endorsing who Hawaii wants in the white house. Stop crying and let your voices be heard!! VOTE!!

Cowards go with the majority vote, because they know that doing such will translate to dollars later and political favors!
If you do not agree with the endorsement or with the most likely Democratic nominee then keep it to yourself. Spouting off your anti-democratic hatrid will not change what you don't agree with.
So what's your point???

Hillary has a better chance against Mcain than Obama. But we all just go with media hype and popular vote till october.

Then most of the country who are silence will speak their minds on the cards in november.

Obamamania is just another bubble, like the housing bubble stir up by the media frenzy. By october that bubble will pop and the bad air will cause many to reevaluate their support for Osama who wants to raise tax that will cut deep into your retirement funds and eliminate social security.

Osama also has support Hamas a terrorist group in Gaza. He has no loyalty to this country by dishonoring the war heros in Punch bowl for his image.

His wife has spoken openly about, "nothing good has ever come out of this country except her husband."

.com bubble,
housing bubble
Osama bubble

How do you recognise a bubble? by not listening to the media hype.

Inouye has done what is right for this country. Akaka abecrombie and hirono just got suck into the bubble. When the bubble pops they need to look for another job.

A legitimate question for Von in Aiea: Do you, also, endorse homosexuality and a President who allows other men to suck his thing to derive pleasure in secret?
Would you vote for such a man?

It's about time Senator Akaka declared his vote for Obama...I agree his delay was just his way of playing it safe. Regarding comments that Hamas supports Obama--so what? The Ku Klux Klan prefers McCain. Aloha!

Obama is a fool. He's almost as stupid as Clinton. McCain isn't much better. Pretty miserable group of people to pick from. People here only vote for Obama because he's "from here." Outstanding reason to vote for him! I'm from here! Will you vote for me if I run?

Same response from a few prominent Democrats here in Oregon too. Big political game, no nuts to do think on their own when the decision was in doubt.

With that being said, what will another 4 years look like with another Republican president?

Depends on where you went grad from? Punahou or Iolani, garans I vote for you. Kamehameha...maybe. Other than that, I just dunno. What are your credentials?
With this list of candidates, I might just vote for Obama because he is from Hawaii. That would sound cool, unless he messes up like Waihee did in the 80's. First Hawaiian govenor, made a big mess.
