More than a year after a Marion congregation narrowly rejected a move to leave the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the nation's largest Lutheran denomination has removed the church and its pastor from its rosters.
Why would they want to stay in ELCA when they had valid reasons for joining LCMC? Do they want one foot in each denomination to please everyone? It appears ill-advised for a church to be a member of an ultra-liberal denomination and a moderately liberal church body at the same time.
