Stay hard Devil Dogs. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Just keep the beautiful sandy beaches of Hawaii in mind while you're in Iraq and you'll be back in Kailua in no time.

Preventive war was an invention of Hitler. Frankly, I would not even listen to anyone seriously that came and talked about such a thing.

Also President Dwight Eisenhower said in his farewell presidental speech:
"Beware of the Military-industrial complex".

And he lead the Allies to victory over Nazi Germany in WWII as supreme commander and was a five star "General of the Army"

It saddens me that these guys are going back after such a short time home. I have friends who have young children who are still just getting to know their dads and now they're headed out again. And its not like they came home in October and then they go in September. These guys are already away from home training for this tour of duty! I support the troops, but Bush should know that as much as their nation needs them, their families need them as much. Bring them all home!

Make sure you guys vote!, Because if the Republicans try to steal the vote again, you can be the one that can challenge them.

War is a racket, and what rings up debt better than a War? Since our whole monetary system relies on debt, the big money wins. We all lose.

General Dwight D. Eisenhower was a great military leader and President of these United States.

But he lived in the 1930's, 40's and 50's. In that context, Eisenhower was completely removed from the realities of this day. Namely Al-Queda's sworn pledge to destroy our country. Not saying Eisenhower went soft as he aged, nor saying Eisenhower mis-spoke, nor short-sighted, but if we got at Hitler first, Hitler would not have killed so many.

Keeping them (As-Queda and them others) busy over there, they are too busy trying to stay alive over there to even think about stepping foot on US soil to pull that crap here.

As the most powerful nation on the face of this planet, the United States holds a responsibility to put a stop to that ruthless aggression before it gets over here.

The enemy must know that when the US fights, we mean business. We will pay any price, make any sacrifice, spare no cost, to defend these principles that hold the United States together.

To all Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen that serve, you sacrifice is appreciated by a grateful nation.

I can't believe this is still going on. McCain said this is all about oil. How much does he really care about our boys. Why are we still fighting. Does anyone think that maybe we should strengthen our own country's borders so we cannot be attacked here. And beef up our security and intelligence instead. Also, the national guard did not sign up to go overseas to fight but rather to protect our state. Come on now, give me a real reason why we are still in Iraq.

"Keeping them (As-Queda and them others) busy over there, they are too busy trying to stay alive over there to even think about stepping foot on US soil to pull that **** here"

Flip that over and restate it as "Keeping us tied up in Iraq and too busy trying to stay alive over there" -- in order to distract us from the real tasks at hand. That's a lot better reflection of the reality of this quagmire.

Mr. Kakesako needs to check his story for errors before going to print. It is the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from the Hawaii Army National Guard. The 100-442 is from the Hawaii Army Reserve. The 199th is a Hawaii Air National Guard Wing.

Good luck Soldiers and Marines!
