Did i say that it is the work of white people alone. NO. I am stress the fact that my people should stop blaming whites for not being succesfull. but I do say whites caused the problem, they are in high positions of power and discrimnate on lower classes. But it is up to us, not white people, to get us out of the whole they dug.<quoted text>
Racism is a petty religion in this country. When you have a 60% high school drop out rate in schools that are mostly "black", that cannot be blamed on the acts of "white" people past or present.
These young American kids are ruining their lives because of the sad religion of racism. Will you bail out these kids when they turn 18 and have no education, no job skills, and a bad attitude?
The net result of the African-American philosophers is to poison the minds of young blacks over the acts of dead people or isolated incidences of rogue ignoramuses. Lightening bolts are not going to zap white people nor will the race gods intervene on behalf of the n-word spouting hip-hop generation.
Young people need to realise that they have the powers in themselves to succeed in an atrocious world. By feeding children with entitlement baloney, which will ruin their lives, you have done a greater harm than any "white" person could do.

A stat coming from a dude from the middle of nowhere, there is even a larger percent of blacks that work harder, success is a different story |

The government IS us! Don't you know that? They would tax you to pay you - how stupid is that? |

Mmmmmmmm, Sean Bell.....makes me think of Taco Bell. I think it's lunch time. I'm nowhere near a racist. I hate all lazy @ss people the same, white, black, yellow, green. And I hate lazy @ss complainers thinking they deserve something because of other's suffering. When you get racked across the skull by a cop, tied up and whipped, or kicked back to the curve trying to get out of the city as the hurricane approaches, then cry about it an sue whoever you can. Until then, you ain't owed a dime, an apology, or anything other than a good boot up the rear for all your cryin' and whimperin'. |

I somewhat agree. I think it's a bipartisan....white/black problem to solve. And stone throwing from either side ain't gonna fix it. I agree with some parts of Affirmative Action, but also think it has pitfalls. And abuse of the system doesn't help, with either AA or abuse by the public trying to use AA to a greater advantage than it was designed for. |

Actually, the war WAS about freeing the slaves. Lincoln was on the brink of losing the war until the Emancipation Proclamation was announced. England was ready to recognize the Confederacy until Lincoln out-maneuvered Jeff Davis with the Emancipation Proclamation. The English could never support the Confederacy after Lincoln's executive order. Without England, the CSA was doomed. |

What gives you the right to judge me from one post I made, which tells nothing about where I stand on racial issues? I was simply stating that black slaveowners'(as well as Native American slaveowners) relatives do not deserve reparations, and there are whites who deserve reparations(from the government) because some of their ancestors were slaves as well and there are also blacks and whites that shouldn't be included one way or another. |

Even if the freedom of black people was a biproduct of the civil war,how does that lessen the end result? This one drop theory that allows every black person reparations, wheather or not their of African decent,is silly. Lot's of people have been enslaved in history. Where do you draw the line? Should Jamacian decendants get reparations? |

What about indentured servants? They were taken advantage of too, and many were white.
What about the indians who were driven from their homelands and had their land stolen from them? What about the huskies and malamutes that were forced to pull the sleigh through the ice and snow? Give me a break, you show me the whip scar across YOUR back, and I'll call my congressman to get him to vote for reparations. |

I guess that's beside's the point! What blacks seem to want is even more special treatment. Will,or can it,ever end?? Doubt it! |

For those who want "reparations" I will suggest "repatriation" back to Africa for all "African" Americans who do not like it here!
They don't call themselves Americans so they should just leave! Our crime rate would down significantly as well! Blacks should be careful of what they cry for! |

I didn't like the tone of the letter you were responding to, but the Vietnamese who came here were often destitute after living in refugee camps or being attacked by pirates on the way here. Also there were the earlier ones who were brought here as laborers to build the railroads, etc. They were extremely poor. |

That is the point. The "government" gets its money by taking it from the citizens. If "the government" is paying reparations everyone,of any color, who pays taxes is paying. |

How can you "give" someone something that's supposed to be a "GOD GIVING RIGHT" to earn? If we are suppose to be "equal", why would "we the people" need to "give" all these things? If reparations were paid(when they were suppose to pay them), we could have earned our OWN "housing", "education", "opportunities", "jobs", "food"........ And you scream about "we the people gave....", let's get this clear, we the people INCLUDES black people who pay taxes like white people. So "we the people" includes "black people" too. If there is NO ARGUMENT on this happening, and NO ARGUMENT on it being wrong, PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THERE'S AN ARGUMENT ON SOMEONE PAYING FOR IT? Oh, it's because all the slaves who were alive before abolishment are dead.........BUT THEIR FAMILIES ARE STILL ALIVE. Proving to be a direct descendant of slavery isn't hard to do at all. It'll be hard for you, a white person, to do.......simply because you're NOT. A bridge is a structure carrying a pathway over a DEPRESSION or OBSTACLE. The "OBSTACLE" of this country accepting their role in the genocide of a entire race will still be under that bridge and as we all know, in time bridges do give. When your mother/father/aunt/uncle/ loss a son or daughter to death, tell them to "build a bridge and get over it" |

Blacks were freed years ago and have been given more than enough opportunities to succeed. Nearly everone I know gets some type of government paycheck every month.1274
