Did i say that it is the work of white people alone. NO. I am stress the fact that my people should stop blaming whites for not being succesfull. but I do say whites caused the problem, they are in high positions of power and discrimnate on lower classes. But it is up to us, not white people, to get us out of the whole they dug.

I somewhat agree. I think it's a bipartisan....white/black problem to solve. And stone throwing from either side ain't gonna fix it. I agree with some parts of Affirmative Action, but also think it has pitfalls. And abuse of the system doesn't help, with either AA or abuse by the public trying to use AA to a greater advantage than it was designed for.

The Civil War was about Government TAXES. Lincoln did not oppose slavery, just the expansion of it(there's a difference). Lincoln knew slave owned states were making MUCH MORE MONEY from FREE LABOR than northern states(and eventually would have challenged the North and won) and pushed to evade their territory before they became too strong.
Lincoln didn't free slaves "on paper" until almost 2 years after the war started, once he seen how strong the South was(and yes, the south MADE their slaves fight in war)
Please know, There were Union states that allowed slavery also, they just didn't gain huge profits because of their location(further southwest)
I think people should research more before mentioning slanted facts and try to argue.

Actually, the war WAS about freeing the slaves. Lincoln was on the brink of losing the war until the Emancipation Proclamation was announced.

England was ready to recognize the Confederacy until Lincoln out-maneuvered Jeff Davis with the Emancipation Proclamation. The English could never support the Confederacy after Lincoln's executive order. Without England, the CSA was doomed.

I was simply stating that black slaveowners'(as well as Native American slaveowners) relatives do not deserve reparations, and there are whites who deserve reparations(from the government) because some of their ancestors were slaves as well and there are also blacks and whites that shouldn't be included one way or another.

For those who want "reparations" I will suggest "repatriation" back to Africa for all "African" Americans who do not like it here!

I didn't like the tone of the letter you were responding to, but the Vietnamese who came here were often destitute after living in refugee camps or being attacked by pirates on the way here. That is the point. The "government" gets its money by taking it from the citizens. If "the government" is paying reparations everyone,of any color, who pays taxes is paying.

How can you "give" someone something that's supposed to be a "GOD GIVING RIGHT" to earn? If we are suppose to be "equal", why would "we the people" need to "give" all these things? If there is NO ARGUMENT on this happening, and NO ARGUMENT on it being wrong, PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THERE'S AN ARGUMENT ON SOMEONE PAYING FOR IT?

Oh, it's because all the slaves who were alive before abolishment are dead.........BUT THEIR FAMILIES ARE STILL ALIVE. Proving to be a direct descendant of slavery isn't hard to do at all. It'll be hard for you, a white person, to do.......simply because you're NOT.

A bridge is a structure carrying a pathway over a DEPRESSION or OBSTACLE. The "OBSTACLE" of this country accepting their role in the genocide of a entire race will still be under that bridge and as

Blacks were freed years ago and have been given more than enough opportunities to succeed. Nearly everone I know gets some type of government paycheck every month.1274
