It is fascinating to read how y'all object to the way Wexler and Rangel house themselves and their families but you do not object to a senseless war that has taken more than 4,000 American lives, wounded countless others, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives under an administration that shoots their friends in the face, connives with energy corporations to keep jobs and gasoline from the average person, does not notice the high cost of food, does not provide health care for thousands of people who really need it, makes ridiculous suffocating demands on school systems by having teachers teach to the test rather than teach students to grow up to be critical, skilled adults, on and on and on...the hire of cronys who are not fit for the high paying positions they are awarded...their own employees leave the administration and write books about how they mismanage...and all you can find is criticism of two men who try to keep their housing costs level so they can provide their families with other needed things..
at least they don't house themselves in the airport washrooms, or abuse teenage pages interning at the congress... there are errors and then there are errors.. what fools republicans are...look in the mirror...what do you see...that is what a moron looks like... |

Members of Congress make $169,300 per year, plus retirement and health benefits. That may or may not be enough to have a home in your district and living accommodations in DC, or vice versa. Whether you are right wing or left wing is not the issue. The issue is that ALL the other members from the Florida delegation continue to have a real residence (note: Wexler's MAY be legal, but is not real)in Florida, and have other living accommodations in DC. I still say: Vote the bum out if you don't like him. I live in his district, and I am not voting for him, since I think he is out of touch with the issues in Florida, regardless of where his family lives. If he wins re-election, then I am stuck with him, and the majority of the voters in the district decided Wexler was OK. That is democracy, and I will live with it - but I can continue to say I do not like him, I disagree with him. That is also democracy, right or left. So keep the insults to yourself, and argue the issues. |

The war is not the issue here. It is sad that over 4000 American soldiers have died is the war. But when they signed-up for the military, they knew they could get called to active duty in a war. Since you are bringing up unrelated topics, I think it is moronic of you liberals to object the war - where 4000 have died - and not object abortion, where over 5000 babies are killed EVERY DAY in the USA. Put that into perspective. Wexler's residence is the issue here, but whether he owned or rented in Florida is not relevant to me. How he represents me is what O worry about, and he does not represent my positions, so I will not vote for him or Graber. |

Taylor, my comment was a preproduction of an article from the Wall Street Journal. So, please direct your inane comments to the Wall Street Journal and other periodicals who reported on this issue. Thank you for your cooperation. |

The residents in Maryland should be super P.O.ed about this guy as well. This Wexler garbage should start a FULL BLOWN investigation of the questionable living accomodations of elected Congressional members in every state! Three months before the general election is the perfect time! |
|
Get your head out of the sand. What the other poster said is completely true and factual: Obama supports late term abortions and also supported the bill to "complete" aborttions outside the womb - not even Hillary supported this last bill! Maybe you should enter the mental hospital to see if they can find your brain. But the issue here is Wexler's residence. |
|
Why thank you; at least if you do not necessarily my political views, you definitely support honesty and integrity in government. Unfortunately many of the posters on this topic simply do not care whether their elected officials live by these qualities. It really is sad. |

Perhaps you should send your suggestion on creating new "resident" voters in Mr. Wexler's district to Rush, it would be really interesting to hear Mr.Wexler's reaction. I'm sure we could find a large number of current residents in that district who, like Mr. Wexler's inlaws, would stand by mootly, if embarassed, while numerous friends and relatives from up North "officially moved in", got drivers licenses and then voted their with the same level of honesty and good faith as our Congressmen. |
|
Sounds like you liberals are "Feeling the Heat in Delray". Your guy Wexler is gonna go down, and it would have happened with or without Bill O'Reilly. Wexler was a time bomb waiting to go off. |

He'd have to kick Obama out of his room. |

The Audacity of Death
Wall Street Journal: By DANIEL ALLOTT June 5, 2008 According to Barack Obama, Gianna Jessen shouldn't exist. Miss Jessen is an exquisite example of what antiabortion advocates call a "survivor." Well into her third trimester of pregnancy, Gianna's biological mother was injected with a saline solution intended to induce a chemical abortion at a Los Angeles County abortion center. Eighteen hours later, and precious minutes before the abortionist's arrival, Gianna emerged. Premature and with severe injuries that resulted in cerebral palsy. But alive. Had the abortionist been present at her birth, Gianna would have been killed, perhaps by suffocation. As it was, a startled nurse called an ambulance, and Gianna was rushed to a nearby hospital, where, weighing just two pounds, she was placed in an incubator, then, months later, in foster care. Gianna survived then, and thrives now, because, as she told me recently with a laugh, "I guess I don't die easy." Which is what the abortionist might have thought as he signed his victim's birth certificate. Gianna's medical records state that she was "born during saline abortion." As an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama twice opposed legislation to define as "persons" babies who survive late-term abortions. Babies like Gianna. Mr. Obama said in a speech on the Illinois Senate floor that he could not accept that babies wholly emerged from their mother's wombs are "persons," and thus deserving of equal protection under the Constitution's 14th Amendment. A federal version on the same legislation passed the Senate unanimously and with the support of all but 15 members of the House. Gianna was present when President Bush signed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act in 2002. When I asked Gianna to reflect on Mr. Obama's candidacy, she paused, then said, "I really hope the American people will have their eyes wide open and choose to be discerning.... He is extreme, extreme, extreme." |

We have at least one Wexler like US Representative here in Massachusetts.
You elect these folks to Congress and they start playing by their own rules. Everytime I see Wexler speak on TV I wonder why folks in Florida elected this moron. Can't you find someone more qualified? Regards, |

All you creepy religious nuts who want to squawk about abortion need to remember that this medical procedure has been LEGAL for more than 30 years in this country and we're aren't going backwards, just on to more non-surgical options as Europe has done. GET OVER IT ALREADY!
|
|
|
And where in the world did anybody get the idea that Wexler was trying to "cover this up" or hide his residency status from anyone? He's been open about it for more than 11 years now! Don't you people pay attention to anything other than the garbage that spews forth out of Bill "Loofah" O'Reilly's mouth?!?!?

So we're both blind and deaf morons. We'd probably have a heck of a game of pool or darts at the pub. I'll buy the first round.

Give us the addresses of all republican representatives. Lets compare tax bills. Anyone? I'd love to know how many windows are in their glass houses, for I have a bag full of stones.

Some People like Jimmy Carter, and Obama never learn. We the people do not want a Muslim marxist goverment in America."NO ISLAMIST RULE" More than a century after his death, Karl Marx remains one of the most controversial figures in the Western world. His relentless criticism of capitalism, and his corresponding promise of an inevitable, harmonious socialist future, inspired a revolution of global proportions. It seemed that—with the Bolshevik revolution in Russia and the spread of communism throughout Eastern Europe—the Marxist dream had firmly taken root during the first half of the twentieth century. Now we witness the utter collapse of that dream in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Romania, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Albania, and the USSR itself. What was it about Marxism that created such a powerful revolutionary force? And what explains its eventual demise? The answers lie in some general characteristics of Marxism—its economics, social theory, and overall vision. |
