He has zero respect for ANYONE in his courtroom...I guess you could say that everyone is on equal footing. He disdains and disrespects everyone!

Eileen O'Connor a witness?? What a joke! This article could be about her---a pattern of arrogant, discourteous, and impatient conduct toward lawyers.... accused of several violations, including that she unfairly held, or threatened to hold, attorneys in contempt and denied motions to step down from handling cases where she had a possible conflict with the defense attorney....O'Connor threatened to throw me in jail and I was a witness for the State!! They need to clean house in Broward....

I happen to know Judge Aleman and I find the complaint against her to be ludicrous. I realize that, this being Broward County and this article being being published in the Sun-Sentinel, some believe she is not entitled to sit as a judge because she publicly acknowledges her Christian faith. However, I suggest she should not be publically condemned, nor subjected to such a one-sided article, until she has had the opportunity to defend herself against the charges.
I do hope you will note that this article makes no attempt to explain what prompted her to order a defence attorney to jail. Is it possible that his conduct before the court was so outrageous that it could not be ignored? What a shame that the reporter did not seem to think that aspect of this story was newsworthy.

You are absolutely right about Judge O'Connor....she doesn't take any foolishness from attorneys in her courtroom. Fabulous.
And, yes, she has been accused of all kinds of things....attorneys tend to be in the business of accusing people and she, a tough woman judge, is a prime target for attorneys with wounded, bleeding feelings. Hurray!
Honey, if she threatened to throw you in jail (and this explains your virulent post), you deserved to be there and you are 100 per cent lucky not to be there.

Those are good examples. Goldenberg is bottom of the barrell. Aleman is also an incompetent jurist. She should be removed to teach the other Broward judges a lesson.

When your a lawyer for five years or more, you only hang with other lawyers. Most people (including family) hate lawyers. Judges are the top of the sewer, the hard part. When they believe that they know all and are better than the people in front of them. Browards benchs are in need of %&*$#() clean-up. Christian and jews alike. Back to the basics of the bible.

You must have not been there for more than 15 minutes. This judge is rude and arrogant. Her argument is that being rude, unprofessional and arrogant does not rise to the level of removal from the bench. In other words even Aleman and her attorneys agree that she behaves poorly.

Judge Aleman is not fit to sit as a judge. If you spent anytime in her courtroom, you would see that immediately. It has nothing to do with her faith or anyone else's faith. This Judge is just discourteous, arrogant, and her rulings are pitiful. Anyone who thinks this Judge should continue sitting as a Judge should spend a little more time in her courtroom.

Judge Aleman should be given a few jolts with the tazer and then removed from the bench. She is a disgrace to the entire legal profession.

You're an idiot. I've spent PLENTY of time in her courtroom and she has always been courteous and kind and did her best to follow the letter of the law. What she can't STAND is pompous attorneys who think they are the cat's meow. You obviously have a personal grudge against her because I can name at least 5 other Circuit court judges that are far, far worse. Damoorgian, Moe, Schlissel, Marks and Goldenberg are the WORST of the bunch. But of course Schlissel, Marks and Goldenberg are Jews, so they are untouchable by the huge Jewish lobby in the Broward County Bar. Yes, they take care of their own.
