Why are they dragging their feet to send her back here, look at the smile on her face, little lady is wise beyond her years, and still needs a good swift kick in the pants. She is a teenage drama queen, that needs attention, she might get more than she wanted if she is here illegally and gets deported back to Sri Lanka.

Send her back to Sri Lanka.

She can move back to the US once she turns 18 - she is NOT old enough to LEGALLY make her own decisions.

The fact is, she is NOT old enough to make her own decisions; legally by state age (18) or in what we have seen displayed in her level of maturity. She is a spoiled brat, indeed.

Actually since her biological parent unit perjured himself and in light of the predetermined fate of death that many from the alleged religion of peace seem to have in store for her she'll probably gain political asylum.

On the other hand the biological parent unit needs to be given a prison term then deported to his home country. These illegal aliens are bankrupting our country.

Let's do the math.

She's 17+ now and she's going into the foster care system.

I doubt very seriously anything will be finalized before she's 18.

She also could petion to be an emancipated minor, of course she wouldn't have mom and dad's money assisting her after that.

What does she want other than converting?

I also agree her body language suggests her playing people.

Well the judge just made it easier for the fatwa to be carried out. If she returns to Ohio, she will not be safe. Obviously the judge is aiding and abetting the terrorists at the Noor. Now that I disagree with the idiots that give aid and comfort to terrorists, I am automatically considered a bigot, islamophobe, racist, did I leave anything out.

Must be a Pam Gellar fan. You should be aware that much of what Ms. Gellar posts on her site would be considered perjury if she were required to swear an oath. Like many political organizations posing as news agencies, she lacks any journalistic ethics. Notice how many of her scoops rely on unconfirmed information from anonymous sources (presumably anonymous due to "obvious" threats to their safety were their identity known). Among her allegations is that there were 20 eye-witnesses to abuse at the hand of Rifqa's father. Actually, in Rifqa's FDLE interview there were lots of people named who "knew her situation," which she defined as being a secret worshipper of Jesus in a Muslim family. When pressed, it turns out that the vast majority were only contacts through Facebook--eye-witnesses to nothing. The few face to face contacts Rifqa provided who were alleged to have knowledge about "her situation" (which really only tap-danced around actual abuse allegation) were interviewed and came up short.

Gellar has thrown around allegations of perjury on the part of the parents since the beginning--constructed from bits and pieces of public information from the internet. She threw up a google aerial of the family's residence, suggesting that the apartment building was a large house, and decried perjury because the family said they could not afford to hire an out-of-state lawyer. At this point, anyone who has followed the story realizes that the family was living in a small apartment--but the charge of perjury has not evaporated. Journalistic ethics tend away from such inflammatory leaps of conjecture. But Gellar--and others who try to suggest conspiracy on the part of the main stream media (MSM)--do not feel bound by such ethics.

I've read your posts before. And I have to ask -- do you EVER say anything intelligent? Your comments are usually borderline moronic.

Hmmm. The court has to keep track of all that Christian crap that children might be subjected to out there on the internet. If she had been a Christian who converted to Muslim do you think a judge would order her internet and telephone usage "monitored"?

Sorry to burst ya'lls bubble, but done been through the same thing. In her home state OHIO she IS old enough to decide where SHE wants to live this is a custody matter and at 14 you can LEGALLY decide where you want to live.although she did go about it the wrong way. Not to mention when she turns 18 which i bet will happen before anything is finalized she can tell both the ohio and the florida judges to piss off!!! she'll be 18 and juvenile jugdes will have NO authority over her.

Do we actually have cases of Muslims trying to convert underage christian girls over the internet, and luring them across state lines?

If she was a teen lured over state lines by an adult she met on the internet there might be some concerns. And if she was in continued contact with that adult and her face and voice kept popping on You-Tubes, there might be some concerns--don't you think? This kid has been involved with a long list of "pastors" that she met on the internet and later went to spend time with in person. Her historic behavior puts her at a high level of risk from the actions of internet predators skilled at grooming little girls. There is no evidence that this has yet taken place in any sexual arena. But she has demonstrated a willingness to place way too much trust in anyone who wants to play up her religious interests and martyrdom.

How do you suggest that the court go about protecting this child?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
