Just curious...since it's often noted that there isn't much to do in DE, would someone please name an interest that can't be pursued in DE? Skiing comes to mind for me...anything else?

i'm looking at moving to Delaware. i currently live in PA with my girlfriend and our son. we live about 50-60 miles NW of philadelphia, in a small city called Pottstown. this used to be a good neighborhood, but not anymore. the school system here is not the greatest. they keep raising the property taxes every year, along with the school taxes. when i moved here 2 years ago, the school tax was 35 dollars a year. now, it's more like 70 dollars a year. we rent an apartment. lots of houses here are for sale, because of the taxes, and people moving here from philly. drug crimes have run over this city, and it's getting worse

Yes De is a OK place to raise children, the schools are adequate. The tech schools have a little higher demand on their students, they are allow to pick and choose who they will accept?
The income taxes are some of the highest in the country, the same for automobile insurance, the 3rd highest in the country. Behind NJ and CA, that is not saying much, tax free shopping is a plus, but the gasoline taxes are also on the higher end of that nationwide tax. Just like all other states, it has it's pluses and minuses.
High car insurance rates in Delaware? That's news to me.

Wow! All of that is happening in Pottstown? I live in Delaware County, near West Philly. I always thought that Pottstown was kind of rural.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Aquarius

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news. Aquarian homebodies will find things rather hectic and may develop a headache by the end of the day, so you should avoid negative thinking as much as possible.
