Full story: Chico Enterprise-Record

"But some Brown initiatives had lasting effects, including his opening of government to women and minorities and deals with public employee unions."

It is those deals with public employee unions that resulted in them controlling the state and its budget. Those deals ruined our schools. The public employee unions are already filling Brown's campaign coffers. If Brown is elected he will block any effort to reform public salaries and pensions. In dire economic times he will not furlough state workers. Even if they cut every state program that helps the disabled and devastatingly poor the stats public employee obligations will still devour the budget. That is the structural deficit.

"Jerry Brown again? Some Democrats express unease"????

Only some? Governor Jerry "medfly" Brown poisoned the Golden goose [State].

Oh BTW, Meg Witless, the woman that doesn't bother to vote, doesn't seem much better.

Dino Brown will be well advised not to seek a third term in the governor's office because it will alienate the young generation of California voters who see him as the image of an old worn out retread of the past. He will be a sure loser specially among the conservatives who see his avid support of gay marriage as an indication of a political debt that must be paid.

Much of the turmoil with Jerry Brown is his "Governor Moonbeam" tenure in the past.

The reason so many of the Unioncrats and Chicano Anarchists who own the Party now are against Brown is that they think he would be fiscally conservative by comparison to today's way way way far to the LEFT State Dem Party.

Brown as too Conservative? That alone defines the decline of our State's Democratic Party into the failed mess of gangsters which have been tearing the State apart for the last decade.

Dem voters who care about our States future will support Brown. Progressives who lust to destroy our State will object to Brown.

My God, is their no end to that old queen. I liken Jerry Browns political expertise as that of Ted Kennedy's, all talk and no action. Their are a few of these worthless old political hacks that should just dry up and blow away. Are you listening Jerry.

brown is another career politician...lets face it people....Meg Whitman will win big time. THe sleeping majority has awakened and i am not talking about illegals but the Majority known as taxpayers. We will be showing up in huge numbers that will make the far left and far right groups not material. The La Raza racist group and the Mormons on the other hand are so few.

Let Brown win or some Latino Mayor or other racist candidate since it will help Meg WIN big time. The sleeping MAJORITY has awakened

Jerry Brown was the best governor we've had in 50 years. He's frugal by nature, so he always balanced the budgets, even in the recession years under Nixon and Ford. Reagan left him a major mess to clean up, and Brown did it. He's a terrific administrator and incorruptible. If he runs, he'll make it.

It turns my stomach but Jerry Brown will be the next governor of California. CCPOA and other public employees unions run this state and Brown is their man.

I agree 100%. Brown kept the CA budget balanced and our taxes low. Whitman is clueless and has NO government experience. She will continue to make the Arnold mess worse.

She has three issues she speaks out on: Create jobs, cut spending, fix education. She wants to fix education by grading each school and allowing parents to take your child out of a failing school. How does that FIX education?

She wants to cut spending by cutting state workers jobs and pensions. So we're going to cut American citizens jobs and benefits but keep spending tons on illegals? What about all the illegals in our schools that millions is spent on.

Create more jobs - What about stopping importing foreign workers on a daily basis that take American citizen jobs? That might be a good idea. And where are we going to get money for a third-world-class - I mean, world-class infrastructure ???

Just another politician trying to sound good. They're all corrupt and will continue to throw Cali down the toilet.

http://www.numbersusa.com/content/nusablog/be...

"White House Claims 'Stimulus' Saved/Created 650,000 Jobs (but it imported 1,125,000 foreign workers at same time)

A few minutes ago, the White House issued a new report claiming that the Stimulus Bill earlier this year has created or saved approximately 650,000 U.S. jobs.

Unfortunately, another government program -- immigration -- completely wiped out any overall benefit the stimulus jobs could have been for the American working man and woman.

All of us need to point out to every local newspaper, every Member of Congress and every one of our co-workers and family that the federal government has imported more than a million working-age foreign citizens this year to negate every positive impact the stimulus could have had for U.S. workers. "

So, for Meg to try and create more jobs - nice - but are they going to go to foreign workers? A lot of good that does us.

You are correct about Arnold. Unless loving parents dump the entire Leglislature nothing will change. And, CNN will be correct in their conclusion that CA will be the ONLY State which NEVER recovers from the current recession/depression.

Even someone with as much class, character, and integrity as Whitman cannot save us from the Legislature's historic failure to serve the long term interests of our State.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Cancer

With the tender Moon waxing in your sign, you're in a romantic mood. This is great if you're with your beloved, whom you trust implicitly. You can have a wonderful time together and the rest of the world will just melt away. Try to be a little more realistic if you're dealing with money matters because there's a strong chance that someone is trying to manipulate you, or part you from what's rightfully yours. Of course, you'd never do something so devious...
