Illegals will come if border wall is there or not, too bad for California people I know it **** but there is no solution to fix stop immigration. Illegal immigration can be stopped if labor unions do more to stop illegals from becoming members, and all employers verify legal status. Currently, labor unions will allow anyone to join if they can show a social security card, which are so easily forged. Labor unions, especially in the construction industry which is all but dominated by illegal latino members, needs to get a clue and require more rigorous checks on legal status. Small businesses such as landscape companies, fast food joints, small construction companies, need to be penalized if they hire illegals. The social security administration needs to make social security cards harder to forge, and the government should require National Identity cards that would be impossible to forge. If legal U.S. citizens demand that the nation's borders are protected, employers are penalized for hiring non-citizens, and legal identification requirements are strengthened, we would not have as many people in our country illegally.

It's amazing how generous the government can be with our money. One of the biggest problems in Cali is "Birth Tourism" or "Anchor Babies". Finally something is being done. http://www.save-the-us.com/california-is-clos...

A national ID card and e-verify would be extremely helpful!

Isn't it time for Mexican's (mostly descendants of original population, living here since 20, 000 BCE) to enjoy freedom of travel in pursuit of happiness? Fact: Native Americans were here in the southwest long before Mexicans were. If you want to be historically accurate, the Mexicans who came into the area stole and killed to get the land from the Native Americans. So you little argument is just plain rediculous. Maybe instead of simply repeating something you heard some other tard say, how about doing a little homework and reading the actual history of the area first!

If you feel so threatened, then rebel. They'll be a price to pay.

Maybe it will be easier for you if I use this example: Illegal Mexicans are Mexican citizens and under the jurisdiction of Mexico, therefore their children are also, and NOT, repeat NOT under the jurisdiction of the U.S. So called anchor babies are citizens of Mexico like their parents. And yes I feel threatened (with a future of 100 million uneducated , dirty , criminal minded little people procreating by the minute, who wouldn't, even Mexico doesn't want them),and yes I am rebelling, every day! So are millions of others.

The 14th was the reaffirm amendment, among other things, that made citizenship retroactive for Blacks to the country's inception. It affirms those categories other than White to citizenship when born within the US and it's contiguous territories, also whatever derivative entitlements set by law. Your opinions about this country pissing on the Constitution are just that, opinions. A legal mind and it's application is what is relied on when making decisions concerning citizenship or other rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Torchwood wrote: <quoted text>Wow, a Democrats view of CA deficit! Nothing on the unions, nothing about illegal aliens which even Arnold said was $5 billion, and nothing about all the socialist programs. Just us greedy Californians that wanted less tax money stripped from us (Typical liberal whine), concerned Californians that wanted less crime committed against us (Geeze, maybe they should look into the socialist policies and illegal aliens as that is 30% of the prison population), and concerned Californians that didn't want the socialist bribed because they were career politicians. See Nunez for example. That is so typical for the liberals to blame everybody else, but themselves when they are truly the source of the problem. I wonder how many more Californian they will blame for their greed ans stupidity! See liberal "blame others"idiocy first hand! "Proposition 13 prevented the government from getting any kind of cost of living increase for any kind of property so long as it wasn’t sold. If it wasn’t sold, taxes could not rise more than a fraction every year, no matter what happened to the cost of running the state. At the same time, the three-strikes law greatly increased the burden placed on the state to house prisoners (who are unlikely to be dangerous to anyone) at great cost for many years. Forget about the human costs of locking someone up forever. Finally, term limits filled the legislature full of people who know they’re not going to be there very long so they can afford to take extreme positions. When you add to that the requirements of Proposition 13 that allow a minority to block any kind of tax bill, you create the kind of train wreck we are seeing now." I think with the points you raise plus the ones from the article, we begin to understand the whole equation. When you add them all up it presents a much broader view of the reasons why California is having so many financial woes.

There is illegal aliens everywhere. People always bare down on Mexican thought since it is right next to California. People should stop complaining on why illegal aliens get harassed and do something about it, don't just speak, walk the walk if you think you're really interested, or affecting your life that bad. Another thing is that racists think they have an argument when it comes to this subject but have no clue what they speak of most of the time. It's time to step to the plate and get past third base this time, a bill should be formed not merely to kick out illegal aliens but to find a solution that works for everyone.

Jorge de P.Rico How much did Washington say they would send? source: Fifteen years after Congress promised that Washington would help states pick up the tab for imprisoning illegal immigrants convicted of crimes, California is receiving but a fraction -- less than 12 cents on the dollar -- of its nearly $1-billion annual cost
