It is not a matter of wanting to learn about minoritys you ignorant person. What is the issue is whether or not it is important to point out the way you prefer to have sex to our children. It serves absolutely no useful purpose to force our children, or anyone else, to look at people in terms of the sex they have. If you do not want to make the lifestyle you chose to be the norm then why do you want to force people to look at it? I don't care if Einstein is gay or not and it is not important. What is important is what contributions he made and being gay has nothing to do with it and should be left out of the discussion.
The Bible is the Word of God and the ignorance and gullibility of the person that says it is false truly brings pity to me. The hatred and bigotry ytowards us with Faith is truly staggering. The attacks on my Faith are ruthless and cruel. I am told that I can't speak against anyone or anything but you can tell me horrible things about a major component of my life. I feel very sorry for you all.

first of all, as an ordained pastor in a christian church i can honestly tell you that you missed the boat on this one. first, what they want to do in the school books is, not to have the fact that someone has sex with the same sex, but they want them mentioned, period. many times the contributions of a person are either glossed over completely because of their sexual orientation, or attributed to another person because of it. it has nothing to do with sex. even if it did, why are you so afraid of it? it doesn't concern you.

secondly, your religion and your faith are not under attack and never, in this age, have they been. you know, it took me years of studying to learn and finally accept that that the bible certainly is NOT the word of god. it is the word of man. that is something that you'll simply have to learn to deal with. most of us have done so already. you see, noone is attacking your faith. what they are attacking is your belief and what you have been taught by those who have blatantly lied to you.

oh, and i almost forgot, what do you 'teach also'? it isn't 'religion', history, science, health or sexual education... or even spelling and grammer. is it sunday school?
