How shocking! The state of California actually acknowledging that we are human beings? Hooray!!!! Gays, lesbians, and transgender people are your teachers, your lawyers, your politicians, your doctors, your chemists, your researchers, your writers, etc. We are not monsters! We do not deserve to be left out of our country's history. Our youth need to be lead in the direction of the diversity on which this country was built.

You’re not being left out of the country’s history. Your contributions to society are not being ignored. All that’s being left out is which appendage gets thrust into which orifice when the lights go out in your houses, and I really don’t see why that ought to be included. This all stems to the desperate psychological need of gays and lesbians to be told they’re normal, to the point of trying to coerce society into declaring them normal, when everyone knows they aren’t. If they were truly secure in their own identity, they wouldn’t need validation from others.
