Huckabee: Israel can build in West Bank, Jerusalem

I'm not really a middle east expert, but I think Huckabee may have a point.

President Obama and most of the international community consider building in the West Bank is a barrier to peace and illegal since it is occupied land.

I'll agree that it is indeed provocative, but is it really illegal? Isn't the state of Texas occupied land? Didn't we obtain it from Mexico in much the same way Israel obtained the West Bank?

How would we feel if France told us that we couldn't build in southern Texas? What would we do if they told us that Americans may someday have to all leave?

Sure Huckabee is probably pandering to a powerful minority, but is that so wrong if that minority may have a strong case?

Just cause the U.N. decided Jews can have all of Israel, doesn't mean that's the way it should be, and those living there already must leave.

This decision by the UN over 50 years ago, is the only U.N. decision repubs support and live by.

Jerusalem, by UN Mandate belongs to Israel, all of it. That was interrupted by radical Islamic terrorists who warred with Israelis immediately after the Israeli State was established in modern time. The UN then CHANGED what it had mandated and said that at a certain point in time, the lines held by the terrorist Islamists wanting to deprive Israelis of any State whatsoever would establish new boundaries. This ridiculously cut Jerusalem asunder and guaranteed continued strife.

Screw the UN. Jerusalem is Israeli. There are no such animals as "Palestinians." They are a creation from ARAB States refusing for decades to see to their own people.

It's a shame really. I only suspected that huckebee was retarded, now I know he is. Isn't he watching the news. A noose is tightening around Israel faster than you can say "Land Grab" and huckebee doesn't see it.

The UN gave Jerusalem to the new State of Israel. After the Arab nations massed a military attack against the new nation and grabbed Jerusalem, the UN went back on what it said and said the lands were contested and that the UN would resolve the issue. In sixty two years, the UN has not only failed to resolve the issue, they decided to seat terrorist nations in the UN and give them a vote.
