As long as people allow this to happen it will be repeated over and over again. Until the people stand up and SCREAM and keep screaming until all of the proven innocent people are released we will continue to see more and more of these cases. Who is to say it will NOT be YOU next!

I agree with Candyce Hawk of Richland, WA that injustice affects all of us.
I am fighting a similar injustice in California.
A Judicial Hearing was held according to Law. The official court transcriber produced a hundred-page transcript.
After the hearing, the hospital and doctors claimed that the same Judicial Hearing never took place or not held after it was held. I was one of the ten persons present. There were crimes of frauds and obstruction of justice but the office of the District Attorney would not lift a finger to prosecute.
I am requesting a special independent prosecutor.

There is injustice in the Judicial System of the USA.
Count me in in favor of Patrick. We will pray for him.

Here is Injustice in California : Discrimination in the Judiciary or in the Judicial System.
Facts:
1. Two cases of frauds were committed in Solano County, Calif.
One case was committed by a doctor with brown skin. The other was committed by a doctor with white skin.
2. The doctor with brown skin was investigated by Medical Board
of California and the Judicial System and took away his Medical license. The fraud committed by the doctor with White skin is not investigated. Both cases of frauds are documented in writing and with eyewitnesses.
The office of the District Attorney of Solano County, Calif.
refused to investigate the doctor with white skin, Why ?

When, & only when; we eliminiate any , & all types of immunity, for all government officials, espically judges, & prosecutors; will we be able to return our judicial system to Constituional soundness, with liberty, & justice for all, not just the well connected.

It has become clear to me at some point in time after I published the second edition that Patrick should have been included in it. So I made up for that loss in the 7th edition, the edition which is devoted to inmates. I have little doubt that it was the police which killed the two victims, not Patrick. They had the motive and the means.

Hey, Beverly Brabham! Wow, here's a lady with a case of injustice that reads like a mystery novel. Even though I was already jaded abput the legal system I simply could not believe what happened to Beverly. After thoroughly researching her claims and reading court documents I realized that "truth is stranger than fiction" applied! I'm convinced that officials in Alabama, under color of law, can commit any crime and get away with it.

We need a nationwide strike as soon as possible. That means deterring any of the people who want to cross the line, too. We need to take our government back. Or we will all end up like Patrick. They have been trying to frame me here and only because I know how they are am I able to deter it, but the coercion is fierce and there are many invisible energy weapons in their arsenal now, all deployed to your neighbors working for DHS, against you, and even though these idiot drones are totally misguided, they do not know that, nor do they care. I am a citizen from the Netherlands, not educated in legal procedures and a personal friend of Ronald Patrick Swiney (the subject of the mentioned appeal number above) and his wife Sherry.
A common man so to say.

What I know about this man and the situation he is in makes me wonder how come he is not allowed to show your Court his actual proof of innocense.
Is it possible he is right in his claim of being a political prisoner, a man who has to pay for attacking the old boys network?

Please Gentlemen, don’t tell me just because I am not educated in legal matters I don’t understand this.
What I do understand is this:
01) There is a man incarcerated for over 15 years by now who always claimed he is innocent.
02) There is actual proof of his innocense.
03) Your Court doesn’t want to take a look at this material for whatever reason and doesn’t care he spends the rest of his life in prison.
04) It seems your Court is not interested in having the real murderer behind bars, just as long as there is anyone sentensed and the system can show the people they did their job.
Do I have to be educated in Law to see this reasoning is right or can I say using my common sense this reasoning is wrong?

I ask you Gentlemen to give this man, Ronald Patrick Swiney, a real person and not a number, the opportunity to proof he didn’t do what he is sentensed for.

Dear sweet Nana. I wish for your words and feelings to pierce the hearts of everyone. Indeed Patrick (your Dad) has suffered too much. When we are allowed to show the courts the evidence of his absolute innocence, we shall see what happens next. Knowing the courts in Alabama, he'll be illegally procedurally barred because that's all Alabama knows how to do. But I have a feeling the truth will come out and the public will be outraged, and Patrick will be set free. Maybe I'm just dreaming. I hope not. Wishing you well, Nana. The unsupecting public does not usually understand the injustices that are going on under our noses in the name of justice. Until, as we are experiencing a friend or family member gets entangled in the web. Unfairly prosecuted out of lies from children (no evidence whatsoever just the fanciful imaginations of children)that got so far removed from the truth that even the children don't know the truth anymore. We as adults pushed them and rewarded them for the lies and scared them to not go back and tell the truth while they still could. Salem witch trials ring a bell.

The SPEAK UP campaign is a way to expose the atrocity of wrongful convictions. Patrick Swiney is provably innocent. The courts in Alabama have thwarted his right to present his evidence of innocence through procedural bars. This is not only wrong thinking but bad law that contradicts a person's constitutional right to fairness in our courts. I hope millions of people will sign up on the SPEAK UP campaign so that these laws which are hurting good citizens - taking them from their families and torturing them in prison - can and will be changed. Corruption in our courts needs to be exposed. The public needs to understand that this can happen to them. Like Shauna says, no one knows this until they find themselves caught in the web of injustice and then it is often too late.

Yes, the atrocities that you mention are hard to imagine. But, it is even harder to imagine this very same madness is occurring daily to American citizens, in American prisons. In our "equal justice for all America", the only chance to receive "justice" is determined by the size of your wallet. If by some horrible stack of the cards you don't even have a wallet, you are doomed to a life in prison for a crime you did not commit. Where is the outrage for these poor unfortunate souls? Where is the demand for equal and fair justice? Where is the indignation that American's can be abused and maltreated?
Abuse runs rampant in American prisons.......non-existent health care, people dying due to lack of adequate medical care.....
Where are all the media and actors in their demand for rectification? These human beings need someone to step up and be their voice. Look at the case of Patrick Swiney, that this forum is all about! How can these politicians sleep at night, knowing they are keeping innocent men and women in prison for crimes that did not commit?

Although there's been some progress in exhonerating those falsely conviced using DNA technology, it's important to remember that DNA is only available in a small percentage of cases. In a case where no physical contact was ever made with the victim, other methods must be used to prove guilt or innocence. The media almost never addresses these sorts of cases, even though they are in the majority.

That is the case with Patrick Swiney. Although he can prove his innocense, that proof does not involve DNA. No one in the court system is willing to break new ground.

The problem with our society today is the indifference of the masses and their mediocre minds. The problem with advocacy is that we always focus on the periphery of the problems and never go to the heart of them. Unfortunately most advocacy groups (possibly unintentionally) become a form of entertainment and it becomes "exiting" for them to break new ground by pooling together a number of groups that do advocacy work. Although this is a good thing, it is still fruitless in bringing about change because, again, it does not target the heart of the injustice in individual cases.

The organized religions have brought about the mediocre mind and in our effort to be "accepted" and a “part of” the masses and to receive funding from them, we continue to blindly march to the beat of this drummer of illusion, fear, indifference, and neurosis. Those that are wise and see the truth of this are fearful of speaking out but for loosing the support of the masses and being rejected by them and, therefore, these Great Spirits only help sustain a society of mediocre minds. As Albert Einstein so brilliantly put it, "Great Spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."

A good example of our biggest problem is how an individual, with a genuine case of malfeasance and injustice, can write to most of these "Advocacy Groups" again and again, and not even get so much as a response.(continued)

I sleep an average of four hours and I have liquidated my material possessions and given up the life I would have in order to continue my work and at times I can barely pay a bill or spare the money to eat a real meal. I personally do not find my advocacy work to be "exiting" or a form of "entertainment" and it is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I meet the challenge of bringing a change to our (in)justice system. We must be with the same heavy heart and sorrow of the human being that is innocent and wakes up each morning in a prison cell. Our Creator demands no less. But, and here is the key, by remaining with the sorrow and by not being indifferent to the misfortunes of others, I go beyond the sorrow, and I help those directly and individually that ask for my help by helping them to be relentless and persistent in their battle. If not for this energy behind all life (which has nothing to do with organized religions) and my fearless, persistent, and relentless fight I would be sitting in prison right now for a crime that I did not commit and in an incident that I was in reality the victim.

It is only when these organizations band together and are well "organized" to target each specific injustice as a large and powerful force and become persistent and relentless in their fight that we will begin the slow process of bringing a change to this insanity called the "Justice System". And so far I don’t see this happening…so maybe now is a good time to start.
