Could it be that the biting took place as an accident during the course of the game? I'd keep the videotape.

the way they force their children into sports is sickening. keeping a four year-old in a pool till 9pm yelling "face in the water, C______!" they should be charged with child abuse.

don't think you can falsely accuse an innocent girl and disrespect your former hometown without people airing your dirty laundry.

This young woman could possibly have her life ruined due to ranting and raving of a parent who has always been about total control of his children as well as his insane jealousy over any competition his children have faced. He should be ashamed of himself and his actions. Western Albemarle, is this who you want interacting with your students?

Sounds like all the bitter Fluvanna fans are coming out on this one. I know you get tired of Western whipping your butts at everything but really. Let the courts decide and move on. Who knows, maybe one day Fluvanna might actually win at some sport.

we know you're better. we just rather they didn't parade around Fluvanna in their WAHS gear, tell us how much better they are every day at the pool/Food Lion/etc. or publish articles about themselves claiming to be "the most athletic family in Fluvanna County". they went too far when they resorted to accusing a former friend, teammate, neighbor.

I have. I also have noticed the last eleven years of volleyball and football along with every other sport. Although you did mamage to wim once against Western in football it took a head coah from Western to do it. Western won three State Championships this year alone. That's three more than Fluvanna has in the last 30 years. The point is there are two sides to this story and all the hate being sent towards the Domecq family is not fair. Think of their children as well.

But you can't expect them not to support their school. I work in Fluvanna a lot and wear Western gear but its nothing more than wearing the shirt because you are supporting your school. I just want everyone to consider the feelings of the kids in this one. The hate is just uncalled for.

Did we mention that when she was a student here, she would attend games at Fluvanna, sit with Fluvanna people, and wear a Crozet Crazies shirt. They were never for Fluvanna to start with. I'm honestly not surprised. and then berated Fluvanna for how much better Western is. We can understand you're better, but when you denounce Fluvanna and parade around our county showing pride, they're going to receive some criticism. They better hope they move fast.

these comments have nothing to do with the ordeal at hand. The comments should be reserved for appropriate views and points on the case, not the past or other problems that people have against each other. These post are irrelevant to the case and spark more anger on both sides, which doesn't help either party in the case.

typical Western- trying to bring state championships into this. that's not what it's about.

It's about the attitude of this family- and I mean family, both the parents and the children. All of Fluvanna has had enough of them.

This whole ordeal is disgusting. To accuse a young woman (who doesnt have a mean bone in her body ,by the way) of something so vile for his own personal gain and out of pure jelousy is shameful. Ditta has not done anything to deserve this, but dont worry honey his day is coming.

Maybe if they hadn't built the Taj Mahal High School, they could afford decent sports teams and to train chaches to tell kids not to bite people!

I am wondering why if this happened during regulation play, why was it not addressed then? Shouldn't Ditta have been taken out of the game for unsportsmanlike like conduct? Why is this now being brought out 2 weeks after the incident? Was daddy dearest waiting to see where the competition was going to college and determined to ruin a bright future? This man needs a conscience! GROUW UP DAD! PS-move to Crozet if Western is that much better! Leave Fluvanna!

So this all boils down to wearing Western clothes and the way someone walks? You raise interesting points about pressing charges but we all need to hear all the evidence to have any opinions on that. Just trying to understand both sides hear...even though I am a high and mighty Westerner.
It is so funny how your all reasonable now "trying to understand both sides HERE" but a few comments ago you were on the "your just mad cause we wooped your butts" stance . Strange tactic to prove a point. Normally desperation is the last thing to pull out in an arguement.....

Actually money has nothing to do with our sports teams. Our sports teams fund themselves. However, our coaches have to come from within the school systems or be a substitute teacher. Our school won't allow a former NFL player in our county to coach or my father who was all state and recruited D1, and that's where the problem lies for our teams.

Also, there isn't conclusive evidence yet in the case to defend either side, so it waits to be seen what will come of the case. For all we know, she could've incited Kat to do something. But if it were my choice, biting wouldn't have been first.

Hovering parents come to mind. Keep trying to "fix" everything for your kids, infuse a superior attitude, make them think they are the best at everything without exception, and you are guaranteed to have a young adult who will be angry with the world. Won't be able to understand why everything does not go there way and will probably end up in a horrible personal situation.

Capitalizing on your position as an administrator to appease your childs and your anger for not being selected for an athletic award? Really?

WAHS parents, this is what you want molding your children.
