I love Bama football and have all my life, and I'm happy to have Nick Saban as our coach. But Lord help me, if we ever suffer another loss like ULM last year, I'll be the first one calling for his dismissal. Bama's better than that. Saban better be, too.

You won't have to call for his dismissal. It will be 2 years and time for him to move on elsewhere. Maybe High School Football coach?

For Saban to make Alabama fans happy, he has to beat the Gators in Gainesville in the Swamp in October. Sorry, St. Nick, but I will be pulling against you will all my might. I fully expect the Gators to hand you your head on a platter. If the Gators click right off, they will start scoring, and if St. Nick's defense lacks depth, he'd better prepare his family for the outcome.

Saban struck it rich at LSU and should have stayed there. You get a national championship and you try to parley that into an NFL head coaching job, and when that fails, you head on back to college; and the momentum and stock of players you had built at LSU just isn't there. So now you have to start all over again without any guarantees. Urban Meyer won the national championship two years ago and turned to building the Gators into another championship team. If St. Nick had done that, he would have failure at the Miami Dolphins stamped on his resume, and a very questionable future facing him at Alabama, which does not like to lose, burning for a return to the days of the legandary Bear Bryant.

As an old man now serving God as an evangelist I couldn't agree more with John Mulliniks. Success can be damning to us if we are not humble before the Lord. Everyone has flaws and we must cling to the Lord to make it. One thing for sure, anyone trying to live two lives will have an eternity to regret it. At 33 he took me and gave my His eternal life but I had to give up mine first by repentance. This is what baptism is all about, the water is the grave and the first breath upon leaving it symbolizes the receiving of God's Holy Spirit [breath]. This isn't religion, but a brand new life with our past forgiven and forgotten by Almighty God. Lets pray that not only Nick but all the members of the Alabama Football team become born again too.
