It's important to note that Anthony Robinson, Aaron Robinson, Kalai (Desmond) Delacruz, Kaina Palama, Kainoa Mitchell & Taylor Francisco all play for Onipa'a Volleyball Club (Kainoa may have left though). They are all good friends; Aaron, Anthony, Kalai & Kaina especially. It was wonderful to see them all in the spirit of competition...too bad the refs made that bad call -- it should've went to a third game!

It should have gone to a 3rd game but I would like to commend Waianae for their talent, spirit and energy! I have watched Anthony Robinson during club games and he is a phenomenal player. Congratulations Waianae but know when we see you in states, it's on!!!:)

Well if you watch it on tv there is no touch it was all tape and landed out. Waianae played with heart and determination and fought through it all. Good job boys. Good Luck in states. No excuses you guys did it. OIA CHAMPS... Imua Seariders

Onipaa Volleyball Academy did have a major impact in the OIA playoffs. Every team had least one player from Onipaa (OVA) George,Jon,Amber,Tristan,Kekoa ,Ui,Dev,Jaime,Ted,BJ and Sumu. Thank you so much for dedicating all your time teaching our boys the game of volleyball and also to be respectful young men. Because of OVA the boys have made friends from all walks of life and will keep these friendship for a lifetime.

Onipa'a is the only club that excepts everyone. No try out! They have Won the Junior Olimpics in 2006, came in 2nd 2005, & 2007. Awsome! Anthony Robison the reason why. He's a super star! Now the rest of the world knows it too.
Note: Onipa'a have major players (Boys & Girls) that play for Millilani, Pearl City, Moanalua, Kalaheo, MidPac, Maryknoll, Damien, Kamehameha, Punahoa, Iolani, Waipahu, UH, HBA, and Kalani. It's not over till it's OVA. |

Yes it's true, Onipa'a turns out these kinds of players because of the dedication of the coaches! The Ehia ohana and volunteer coaches all care so much for the kids. They do accept every keiki that comes out no matter what their skill level & turn them into skilled volleyballers.
It was like an Onipa'a reunion on & off the court last night! Aloha! |

Jus wanted to say GOOD JOB TO both teams last nite.As a Alumni from ynae it was a very-deserving win last nite..it was nice to see these boys look upon and play against us and to what they did last nite. i still have chicken skin from that game. big props to the coaches who also was much coach,especially fulton!! good job ynae and also Roosevelt {kaina good job!} it was worth my $7 dollars..2 da ynae boy's and maybe Kaina see u guys at ynae district gym in about two weeks.good luck!!!

ooh i didnt they had a older sister..ur referring to anthony and aaron right? wellz i usually go to to their practice and their coach was my coach..i dont think u can watch it now..but you can try and go on oc-16.com and look for high school sports..but states is this week if they make it to semi-s or the finals..it will be on t.v. and u can watch the game on the internet if they make it that far..but i'll keep you updated... -matt |
