Here's the thing about gossip: it stays gossip as long as everyone keeps repeating it (and adding to it - sort of like the pass-the-secret or telephone game when you whisper to the person next to you and see how it sounds when you get to the end). If you and GMom 'heard' all this stuff, why didn't either of YOU report it instead of just repeat it? Because if you are repeating it, obviously you believed it, right? And if you believed it, then, well, YOU should have told someone. It is really just as much your responsibility as the parents et al.
