Coach arrested in sex case

My friend has a daughter on one of the teams. They conducted more interviews yesterday at the high school, and information is now coming forth from past and current girls on his teams about inappropriate comments and touching in practices. They also said there were inappropriate pictures on his myspace page...that page has now been taken off the internet.

You just hope this stuff isn't true...but it sure sounds like there is a lot of evidence against him. If so I hope he is given the maximum time. But I do want to say...he has not been found guilty at this time...so people really shouldn't speculate yet.

What about the girls that were willing to have sex with this dude? Oh, they're the victims, that's right. They didn't know any better and weren't tought by their parents to not have sex so freely.

LandS, my guess is teachers, parents, and students are not being held responsible any-more for their actions. Also, schools cannot discipline the people who are disciplinary problems anymore. This is sad it happened if the statements are true.

Greg, your response is so typical... blame the victim. They're young girls, trusting the coach/adult figure. He HAS to know better. If the allegations are true, his behavior is completely inappropriate and criminal. He is a coach, there is absolutely no place for this kind of activity, regardless of how "willing to have sex with this dude" they may have been. Shame on you for suggesting it.

It's a shame when someone is put in a position of trust and chooses to do the wrong thing. This guy threw his life away because he could not control himself. He has a young child and a wife and those are the people that are really suffering. There are a lot of great coaches out there but the ones like this give them a bad name. In my opinion he deserves to go to prison for his stupid decision.

Jerry, I blame the coach too, but it does sound like it was consentual, so I blame the girl too. Thing is you hear enough about how it's the coaches fault and he's a piece of shit, but you hear nothing of the girls stupidity also. Is she really innocent entirely in your eyes?

The coach is going down it looks like so why do I need to beat the dead horse about how horrible of a human being he is? I'm talking about what else is wrong with this picture.

We should be more cautious before judging another based on little facts. Chances are its probably a valid accusation, but really...in this day and time..lets think about how many people are falsely accused by angry teenagers looking for revenge. How many innocent people have been screwed over based on lies. Also, with the trend of Teachers sleeping with students we should wait til the facts of the case are revealed and go from there. We will know soon enough....

thank God in the good ol' USA it's "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law"...unfortunately we don't live in the good ol' USA anymore...stop trying this man in the court of public opinion and I hope he gets his day in court ASAP...let's all face it, Greg and Lee do have a point...

"GREG"...it doesn't matter that if the sex was consensual...this man is an ADULT and the girls are underage...HE KNEW BETTER!!!! POINT AND FACT!!!! There are no two ways around that fact....

Didn't his wife just have a baby....you know what...personally he is a cheater and that is all I need to convict him. I feel for his famlily but I do not feel for that arrogant little man.

This is only one form of abuse from adults set in authority.An instance was last year when the varsity basketball coach (also from Alamo)had his players unload the moving truck full of furniture and also had them paint the boys locker room.This also was brought to attention of the school board and the athelitics director and no reprimand was handed down.Now they can have students cater to their every need,as subordinates seeking guidance and a spot on the varsity squad.
