Anyone have a clue what "The One" stands for?

Rumor has it there's a Republican candidate in the November election too...

Just saying, some people might be interested in seeing a compare and contrast between the candidates as opposed to all of one and none of the other.

Read the qoute above about the person living in Chicago. 10.25% sales tax and corruption through and through. Do we want that for our national government?
Well, we already have corruption through and through, and our national debt is totally out of control as it is - almost doubled in this Republican Administration.

Kevin,
" Where are the stories about un-educated black people who are voting for obama just because he is black."
My friend, as a black man I absolutely agree with this question?
I think the worse thing that can happen to any city, state or country is for people to elect others soley based on race.
Unfortunately, race was brought into this election race by the media and by others trying to help their canidate win.
Which is really unfortunately.
Because on merit I think this could have been one hellava race the old gurad vs the new guard.

How about Gender?
McCain just picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. No doubt to take away a lot of the 18 million HRC supporters.

JPP,

I actually like McCain's pick. I use to consider him an old misogynist fool but he proved me wrong with this pick. Whether he's pandering or not-its a hellava pick.

I alike Gov. Palin alot. She very tough minded. McCain already said he is only going to run for one term.
Which means if Barack loses we can have a Palin and Clinton show down in 2012. I know thats going to make the bra burners very happy.

You don't get it, I rather take my chances with Obama than 4 more years of this current administration. You and I know that nothing would change. High gas prices, high food prices, the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, education for the wealthy, lack of healthcare for those making a little over 6.55 an hour. Think about it...Bruce.
insurance for e current administration.
Oh please. Give it a rest. A McCain adminsitration would be totally different than Bush. You're listening to the far left leanings and the liberal media without checking your facts or history first. But it doesn't matter. You will blindly vote for Obama because he's willing to let the government do everything for you and that's appealing to you. I'm sure hard working people will really love giving all their money to the central government for national health care and whatever other social programs. Hell, the governement can't run themselves no matter who is in there yet you want them to run a national health care too? Yeah go ahead and vote for Obama. Then let me see you cry the blues because youa re paying well over 40% in taxes. If he gets in, this country will get EXACTLY what it deserves and that's not a positive either. You can bank on it.

Often, I'm annoyed when people continually harp on the fact that Barack Obama is "black", when in fact he is "half-black", if you must use labels. I find it very ironic (and not in a good way) that someone who is also half black but has very pale skin is not referred to as "black"... I think we need to get over the color of peoples' skin and realize we're all "American"
You're right, I am annoyed to. I'm annoyed at how useless he is and not because he's black. I will vote against him based on his socialist agenda.

You know what cracks me up is people who continue to live in the 20,30, 40 and 50's using language like "socialist agenda".
In 2008 there is no such thing as a socialist agenda.
This country could not become anymore capitalist if it wanted to.
Everything is for sale from healthcare to water in a bottle.
If you talking about universal healthcare policies, thats just good business sense for a leader of a country.
Less people you have sick, less money gov't has to spend on services for them.
Truth be told this country will never see the days of universal healthcare because profit will always surperceed human wellbeing. EVEN FOR DEMOCRATS!
So all you McCarthy idiots move towards the 21st century would you.

Never thought I would say this but the Mass-holes are right. We pay more for people who can't or don't have insurance than if we just belly up to the bar and make a plan.Theirs makes sense. It covers people who can't and people who "opt" out.

No socialist agenda? Yeah right, where have YOU been living? Socialist agenda means that the central government controls most industries. That is PRECISELY what the Democrats advocate. The only change they want is for the government to control everything. Talk to your Democrat buddies who would love nothing more than to see this society as a Socialist country. Period.

And universal health care would NOT be good for this country. You need to check your facts. I lived in countries where there is universal healthcare. Mediocre doctors, no decent research, waits of up to 18 months for surgeries that although not life threatening, would be very painful to endure. And don't even get me started on how much this would cost us, the taxpayer. If you think it would be free think again. In England they are paying around 40% in taxes, most of which is to hold up their so-called universal health care system. So if you think universal health care is good "business sense", then I sure hope you don't run your own company. Our government can't even take care of themselves and you think they could run another big, fat wasted government program on health care? Thanks but no thanks. You are right about one thing, this country will never go to a national healthcare system. Not because of the so-called profit, but because decent people know that a government run program will just result in overcrowded emergency rooms for people who just want a band-aid put on their finger. Decent and realistic people will never tolerate it. Does the healthcare syustem need overhauling? You bet, but not by letting the government take it over.

Even if you don't include healthcare, there are plenty of liberal leftwingers, and make no mistake about it, they are socialists, would love nothing better than to see the government control everything from education to waste disposal. If you don't think so, just go ask them. I have, and it makes me want to puke with their idiotic and unrealistic dreams, or what I call nightmares. All I can say is, if you don't like it, leave and if you want to change it it, I will fight anyone who tries with everything I can.

You are delusional if you think there will be any "opt-out" plan for universal health care. Once the government gets a hold of a program this size, trust me, you will pay for it because the only way they can afford to pay for something this big in magnitude, is by taxing regular people like us. See my above comment. I've seen universal healthcare first hand and trust me, no one will like it except the people who made poor life choices and now expect hard working people like us to help support them.
