I JUST KNOW THAT WHEN THE DEMS WENT INTO OFFICE, MY HEALTH INSURANCE PREIMUM TRIPLED AND IT HAS NEVER GONE BACK DOWN. I PAY OUT THE BUTT FOR THE MEDS THAT MY INSURACE WON'T COVER. HILARY SURE DID MAKE A MESS IN THE HEALTH CARE AREA. THANK GOD SHE ISN'T RUNNING. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO WINS THIS ELECTION, WE ARE STILL THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD AND I FOR ONE AM GRATEFUL TO BE LIVING HERE AND TO HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CANDIDATES, BUT I THINK IF BOTH PARTIES WOULD STOP THEIR DARN FIGHTING AND GET TO WORK FOR "THE PEOPLE" WHO PUT THEM IN OFFICE, MAYBE THINGS HERE WOULD EVEN BE A WHOLE LOT BETTER. THEY PLAY TIT FOR TAT AND WORRY MORE ABOUT WHO IS RIGHT AND WHO IS WRONG INSTEAD OF WORKING TOGETHER ON ONE COMMON CAUSE AND THEY END UP DOING NOTHING, BUT COLLECTING BIG PAY CHECKS AND RECEIVING EXCELLENT BENEFITS. PERSONALLY, I HAVE NEVER VOTED IN MY LIFE FOR A PRESIDENT, BUT AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, I HAVE BECOME A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN AND WILL VOTE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THIS UPCOMING ELECTION. ONE THING THAT SWAYED MY DECISION IS THAT I AM NO WAY, NO HOW, PRO ABORTION. SO GO JOHN AND SARAH...FAULTS AND ALL. YOU HAVE MY VOTE!!! AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU, ALL OF US AND THIS GREAT COUNTRY AS WELL. WE CAN ONLY PRAY FOR THE BEST AND HOPE THAT THESE POLITICIANS STOP FIGHTING ONLY TO BE RIGHT AND START FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS GOOD OF ALL OF US, BUT I HAVE TO WONDER IF THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MAY BE, SINCE THEY ARE ALL RICH AND MOST OF US ARE NOT. DO THEY REALLY KNOW HOW WE LIVE DAY TO DAY? OF COURSE NOT. HOW COULD THEY. THEY "ALL" MAKE PROMISES TO US THAT THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN KEEP, BUT WE CAN STILL HAVE HOPE AND BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT WE DO HAVE. I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THEM AND I WILL TRY TO NOT BE SO JUDGEMENTAL, ESPECIALLY ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL LIVES AND WHAT THEY HAVE DONE OR NOT DONE, FOR "NONE" OF US ARE PERFECT AND I FOR ONE AM GOING TO DO THE BEST I CAN TO MAKE MY COUNTRY EVEN GREATER AND ONE TO BE PROUD OF FOR DOING WHAT IS RIGHT AND MORAL. AND AS THE POLITICIANS SAY.....GOD BLESS AMERICA! Ok, I can appreciate the personal honesty with which you seem to express your thought, but c'mon YOU'VE NEVER VOTED for a president, and you expect me to listen to what you have to say? Seriously. I regard my ability to vote as one of my most precious freedoms, and I have excercised that freedom and right in every election, primary and general EVERY time since I turned 18. You talk about how this is the "best country in the world". It may very well be, but have you been to any other places? If not, how do you know? Even if it is the best, does that mean it's without fault? That it can't be improved? Made better? Far too often people vote for the president that they believe will make their life better, their taxes lower, their insurance premiums less. Should we instead choose the president who will make the best decisions, and maybe that's not always what will be the best for us individually or financially, but what's best for the country as a whole.

Barack Obama contends that he is more experienced in executive matters than Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin because he has managed his presidential campaign for the past 18 months.
Speaking on a cable news channel Monday night, the Democratic presidential nominee said he is better prepared to handle a disaster like Hurricane Gustav because of his pursuit of the White House.
“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,” Obama said.
John McCain’s spokesman called the suggestion “laughable.”
“For Barack Obama to argue that he’s experienced enough to be president because he’s running for president is desperate circular logic and its laughable. It is a testament to Barack Obama’s inexperience and failing qualifications that he would stoop to passing off his candidacy as comparable to Governor Sarah Palin’s executive experience managing a budget of over $10 billion and more than 24,000 employees,” said spokesman Tucker Bounds.
Republican National Committee Victory 2008 Chairwoman Carly Fiorina also blasted the Democratic campaign.
“I am appalled by the Obama campaign’s attempts to belittle Governor Sarah Palin’s experience. The facts are that Sarah Palin has made more executive decisions as a mayor and governor than Barack Obama has made in his life,” Fiorina said, adding that the Obama camp’s attacks raise the question of sexism.
“Because of Hillary Clinton’s historic run for the presidency and the treatment she received, American women are more highly tuned than ever to recognize and decry sexism in all its forms. They will not tolerate sexist treatment of Governor Palin,” she said.

Look what i found........on Fox!!! http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/09/06/is... September 6th, 2008 3:11 PM Eastern Is McCain Stealing Obama’s Message? by Bonney Kapp Barack Obama basically won his party’s nomination by campaigning on the broad themes of hope and change. At first he was a long shot candidate, but his promise beat out Hillary Clinton’s reliance on experience. While McCain has also promoted his experience thus far, he’s beginning to rely more on his “maverick” image to appeal to conservative Democrats and independents. During his convention speech Thursday night, he embraced the call for change, sounding more like an eager novice than a 26-year Washington veteran. It’s change fever, and Obama, feeling as though his platform is being encroached upon, had none of it today at a town hall meeting in Terre Haute, Indiana. “Everywhere I go we’ve been talking about change - that’s been the theme of this campaign. And we must be on to something, because I notice now everyone’s talking about change now,” he observed to about a thousand Hoosiers gathered in a show barn to hear the Democratic nominee. “John McCain has said that change is coming! That’s what he says. Now think about this coming from the party that’s been in charge for eight years — they’ve been running the show! Been up in the White House. John McCain brags,‘90% of the time I have voted with George Bush. He and I we we’re right there!’” Obama said.“And suddenly he’s the change agent?” he asked rhetorically. Obama has spent the entire general election campaign tying McCain to George Bush, saying if elected it would be “four more years of the same.” Which is why he mocked McCain’s call for change today.

The Obama audacity watch continued Saturday morning as the junior senator from Illinois Freudian-slipped in front of a crowd in Terre Haute, Indiana, telling them he's already president:
“People ask me, they say what are your impressions of America. What have you learned since being President? Er, since being a candidate for President?”
I'm sure the media will be all over this one. Damm you gotta love a man for his confidence...*L*

Is this double speak or did his real intentions slip. Cam Edwards passes along a Wall Street Journal report from the campaign trail in Pennsylvania on Friday that found Barack Obama digging himself a rhetorical hole on gun control, even in front of a hand-picked crowd.
“If you’ve got a gun in your house, I’m not taking it,’’ Obama said. But the Illinois senator could still see skeptics in the crowd, particularly on the faces of several men at the back of the room.
So he tried again.“Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress,’’ he said.“This can’t be the reason not to vote for me. Can everyone hear me in the back? I see a couple of sportsmen back there. I’m not going to take away your guns.’’
So Obama went from saying he wouldn't take away guns...to suggesting he wanted to, but Congress won't let him. So he goes from suggesting to gun-rights voters that they should be worried about him as president, to suggesting they better elect a gun-rights Congress to restrain his gun-controlling impulses. So guess he for gun ownership before he was against it?...*LOL*

Vote Obama: he's half white! That's the pitch some Dem ward and union heelers are making to white voters in parts of Philadelphia. According to a Philly.com story, Biden gets mixed welcome in Northeast [emphasis added]: Mike McAleer, the veteran Democratic ward leader of the 66th ward in the far Northeast, said Obama and Biden haven't closed the deal yet. "The Dunkin' Donut crowd tells me that we've got everything going for us but Obama," McAleer said. "They can't give me a direct answer. Do I have them right now in the 66th ward? No. But I got 60 days to get them." Asked what the problem is with Obama, McAleer paused and said: "It's his color ... I tell them he's half white and half black. He's got a better perspective for everything in this country." Joe Dougherty, business manager for Ironworkers Local 401, which hosted Biden's morning event, also said race is an issue for many Democrats. "I hear it in the neighborhood, and I hear it in the union," Dougherty said. "But I remind them (Obama's) mother was white. He sees all sides, and he could be just what we need to bring this country together." If true why does he run as a Black man and not a White man...could he be using his blackness to his advantage towards white guilt? I know now I'm a racist...*LOL*

You forgot to tell me why John McCain has been telling us about lobbyists & special interests for 20 years and has yet to do anything about it other than hire them to run his campaign. & use it as a slogan. You know, like Bank lobbyist, Graham,. The one that said our economy id great & we are in a mental recession. We are just whiners. So tell, me. How is this fighting special interests? How is McCain going to reform Washington? He voted with Bush 90% of the time? Wouldn't you think that he could have tried a little of that reforming then? You say he failed. Why should we elect a guy with a proven record of failure on reform to be the reformer? The maverick. "I don't pay attention to the polls" Ya, right. From a guy who picked his VP based on the polls after he ran Lieberman up the flag & found out he might anger some people. In the first important excutive decision, he picked a back up with no foreign policy experience in a world that he say is so dangerous. In fact, earlier he told us he would pick someone with the experience to step right in. But did he. Nooooooo. He picked a gimmick. Budget surplus? Since whem do you care. You will vote for the party that can't seem to balance the budget & the past 8 years when from a surplus to the largest deficits in history. As for Alaska, their surplus comes from the high price of oil. Few people - lots of oil & gas & mining revenues. Don't pretend it has anything to do with Sarah Mooseburger. Even George Bush could have a surplus in Alaska. I've served on the Salvation Army Board before- what have you done besides mock those that actually help. Like John Stewart said. What he saw when Rudy & Mooseberger made fun of community organizing & all the people were laughing - he saw a bunch of rich, fat elitists who had no idea of how the poor in this country live. Did you look up the legislation yet? Or do you just want to remain ignorant all your life.

Barack Obama has always agreed that the 2nd amendment gave us the right to own guns. That is a fact. John McCain believes that also. However, McCain believes that it is OK to arm the gangs with assault rifles. He also believes that steel jacked ammunition (cop killers) is OK. So I guess John McCain supports of law enfornce people so much that he will arm the criminals with assault rifles loaded with cop killer bullets. As your local cops what they think about assault rifles & cop killer bullets. As for that statement, all he said it was beyond the power of the President to outlaw guns & it basically a non issue. But I guess that was above your comprehension level.

What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it. Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit. Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions. Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it. Congress spends too much ... he promises more. Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them." -- Sarah Palin Perhaps they don't have internet in Alaska. She an't ook them up on Obama's website. Where was the talk on the economy? Who has made government bigger than Bush? Palin took more of Alaskan's money. Who is against producing more energy? No One. A lie. Terrorists seeking nuclear materials - Obama just passed legislation to further clean up loose nukes. We will talk to Iran about its nuke program only after they agree not to have one - in which case, why talk? Brilliant plan I guess Sarah thinks it is OK to pull a US citizen off the street with out any regards to their rights on a terrorism charge? This, I guess, stems from her extensive legal training? I guess the spending comment was McCain's plans to provide health insurance to each & every American - to dole out $5,000 a year to every American family, and now to hand out money to those whose jobs he shipped overseas. Who will pay for those, Sarah? Who will pay for the War? Who will pay basck the 4 trillion in added debt? And the taxes again., Nothing like a tax raiser b*tching about taxes going up - even if it doesn't apply to 95% of the population. But hey, it was a good speech.(wait a minute - I thought good speechers were a sign of empty suit? And there was the evil teleprompter)
