Full story: Vallejo Times-Herald

The last time Steve Eriksen was in the Empress Theatre, "E.T." was playing. It took an out-of-this-world season by CC Sabathia to get Eriksen back.

The Phillies will probably win the Series, and New York will wonder where all that money went.

It is the curse of the Empress. Watching the game at a place where ghetto people visit has hurt CC"s chances of playing good.

Dammmmm you people.

Above posters: Don't worry about the Empress or CC - worry about your salaries and Nov. 3. - you are going to get your butts handed to you.

Oh, Sabathia and Teixeira got New York into the Series; money well spent. How'd the Angels play last night? Oh, right, they DIDN'T! Watch Lackey become a Yankee.

Alot of empty seats towards the end of the game. Was there a fire at the new stadium?

Nice to know we can stand behind someone who does identify with Vallejo verse a talented big eater named Chestnut who's identity is San Jose, not Vallejo!

ahahahahaha, yeah, true CC fans all the way. CC blows the game and they all leave. Typical Vallejo fans. I bet the inside of the Empress smelled real good last night.

CC didn't blow the game...it wasn't his best outing but in seven innings he gave up only 4 hits, struck out 6, walked 3 and the Phillies only scored 2 runs. Many pitchers would love to be able to pitch 7 innings like that....in fact the Giants' pitchers did it that all last season. Where was CC's run support? Just like the Giants' offense.. it was nowhere to be found.

Sabathia pitched a pretty good game, unfortunatley Cliff Lee, his old teammate had an awesome game!!

I look forward to seeing CC pitch in Philadelphia for either game 4 or 5...plus he will get to bat too!!!

Go C.C.!!!

T-H didn't mention total attendance for this live event at Empress Theater. If the attendance was excellent, then perhaps the Empress owners can learn from this and schedule more daily live events to increase the usefulness of the Empress Theater, resulting in more stable income and downtown traffic and customers for Havana Sol restaurant.

And if the owners say it cost money to clean after each event then they should charge just a nominal fee (like $1 or $2) to cover cleaning expenses.

The title of the Article says "leaves game 1 early"....The 7th inning is not that early for a starter. Big C pitched extremely well, Utley just got the best of him.

CC looked terrible. He lost the game. The LA pitcher looked great.

CC is WAY over paid. With the amount of money he is making, he should have done better. Enough said fool
thanks

Thank you to the Empress!!!!! Loved being able to be there and support our hometown boy who is doing well. Support!!!!!! That is what Vallejo needs and our kids need to see and hear that we are behind our town. Nice job, once again, Empress. Please keep up the good work. I would love to see more things like this done to utilize the building. My kids and I had fun.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
