Do-or-die turns into slow death for Cubs

I did the math. By my calculations, the tragic number is 36,514. That's how many days have gone by without the Cubs winning a World Series.

I never understood this sense of entitlement ("this is OUR year") among the Cubs, their fans and even the national media. They had a great regular season but they are far from being a team with no holes.

On the other hand, falling to the Dodgers is pretty pathetic. They barely managed to win in the weakest division in the National League.
