Mill Creek (WA) Flattens Billings (MT) 15-1; Moves To Northwest Regional Final

When Washington and Montana squared off in pool play Sunday, Washington needed extra innings to eke out a win. Washington left little doubt in Thursday's rematch though, clubbing Montana 15-1 in semifinal play at the Northwest Regional Little League tournament at Al Houghton Stadium. The win puts the Washington team, represented by Mill Creek Little League, in Saturday's 6 p.m. championship game against Oregon. Oregon defeated Wyoming 6-0 earlier in the day.

Its a shame that Mill Creek Washington has scored 70 runs in 5 games only allowing 7 and the press has been rating Oregon as the #1 team. We all know that Oregon tanked the game against WA during pool play, but WA has only allowed 7 runs against, and this paper has not shown their defense at work. Did any one see the catch from the 3rd baseman in the 2nd inning?? Joakim Soderquist ran that ball down, and dove to make the catch, and that catch would have made ESPN's top play, but no pictures, not even a word... Also, Joakim hit a 3 run homerun that was maybe the longest homerun I have seen there in 10 years, and when I Managed the 2002 Mill Creek team, I has 2 Kids hit it over the light tower, but theirs were not even as far as Joakims... How far was it?? A good reporter would have had someone walk that off... Maybe?? But if Oregon hit anything like that, I'm sure more details would have been obtained...Your missing the boat here, and you will see that after it's all over on Sat.

I could not agree more with the comment from Mr. Crabbs. It has been SO frustrating listening to the announcers and reading the reports. No one is giving this team the true credit that they deserve. I can not figure it out. This team is something...
Oh well! We will just have to see what happens! I will, along with the neighborhood, watching every moment. GO AK and the MILL CREEK BOYS!!!

I've never seen Mill Creek or Murrayhill play, but I can tell you this much.

In anyone with a brain's eyes, Mill Creek has been the regional favorite since the state tournament started.

I'm a NYer and I could tell that.
