2 7 Things You Didn't Know About PeTA 1. PeTA has stated repeatedly that their goal is "total animal liberation." This means no pets, no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no fishing, no hunting, no farming, no leather, and no animal testing for lifesaving medicines. 2. PeTA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. 3. PeTA funds the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine an animal-rights organization that presents itself as an unbiased source for nutritional information and has links to violent animal-rights groups called SHAC and ALF. 4. PeTA has used their contributors tax-exempt donations to fund the North American Earth Liberation front and the Animal Liberation Front, FBI-certified domestic terrorist groups responsible for fire bombs and death threats. 5. PeTA regularly targets kids as early as elementary school with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda. They are totally opposed to traditional farming methods. 6. PeTA spends less than one percent of its $13 million budget actually caring for animals. PeTA kills animals. 7. PeTA has repeatedly attacked groups like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, for conducting animal testing to find cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. source: www.consumerfreedom.com www.petakillsanimals.com www.animalscam.com www.naiaonline.org |

Ever wonder who is behind PetaKillsAnimals.com ?
OR these sites? ActivistCash.com AnimalScam.com CSPIScam.com FishScam.com PetaKillsAnimals.com PhysicianScam.com ? Ever look who's behind the website that you are tooting the horn for? The Center for Consumer Freedom http://www.consumerfreedom.com And what just is this group? The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit coalition of restaurants, food companies, and consumers working together to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices. The growing cabal of "food cops," health care enforcers, militant activists, meddling bureaucrats, and violent radicals who think they know "what's best for you" are pushing against our basic freedoms. We're here to push back. So what exactly is "consumer freedom"? Consumer freedom is the right of adults and parents to choose what they eat, drink, and how they enjoy themselves. Defending enjoyment is what we're all about! Do you guys support gluttony? Of course not! No one would endorse the "Super Size Me" diet. Like all things in life, moderation is key -- and eating a balanced diet and getting plenty of physical activity is crucial. Unfortunately, Americans have been force-fed a diet of bloated statistics hyping the problem of obesity. Those statistics have been used by Big Brother government bureaucrats and greedy trial lawyers to justify a host of noxious "solutions," like extra taxes on certain foods and lawsuits against anyone who grows, makes, or serves food. Do you have a bias? Yes! We believe that only you know what's best for you. When activists try to force you to live according to their vision of society, we don’t take it lying down. Does that mean you're against vegetarians? Of course not! Everyone should have the right to make their own choices about what to eat and drink -- whether it's a garden salad and bottled water, or a prime rib steak and a cocktail. We respect your personal choice. All we ask in return is the same. But you are opposed to "good" groups. Doesn't that make you the "bad guys"? We speak up whenever activists propose curtailing consumer freedom. What makes us different from many organizations is that we aren't afraid to take on groups that have built "good" images through slick public relations campaigns. Remember: even an ugly baby can be named "Tiffany." Just because they claim to be "ethical" or "responsible" or "in the public interest" doesn't mean they are. Just because they claim to be “scientific” doesn’t mean they aren’t really pushing junk science. And when they talk about throwing bricks through windows, taxing your favorite foods, or throwing the book at popular restaurants with tobacco-style lawsuits, we make sure you know about it. |

The Center for Consumer Freedom is supported by restaurants, food companies and more than 1,000 concerned individuals. We file regular statements with the Internal Revenue Service, which are open to public inspection. Many of the companies and individuals who support the Center financially have indicated that they want anonymity as contributors. 16 MORE HORSES DIED on Racetrack Since 8Belles'-May3!
15 Deaths Suffered Beakdowns 1 Died of Heatstroke (In the month since Eight Belles' ankles snapped at the Kentucky Derby, at least 6 thoroughbreds have died at racetracks around the country.) Like Eight Belles,*15 suffered breakdowns and were euthanized.*One died of heat At least 800 horses die this way every year at U.S. tracks. Were they, like Eight Belles, drugged the day before the race? Eight Belles' trainer, Larry Jones, has admitted injecting the filly with Phenylbutazone—a powerful anti-inflammatory and painkiller drug—just 27 hours before the Kentucky Derby, but so far, law enforcement has refused to investigate to determine if Eight Belles' handlers knowingly jeopardized her safety. PETA is calling on Kentucky's commonwealth attorney to file criminal charges under the state's cruelty-to-animals statute, which prohibits "cruel or injurious mistreatment" of animals. PETA's request comes on the heels of the announcement that Congress will hold hearings in June about safety issues and cruelty in the thoroughbred racing industry. Please let Congress know that you care about Eight Belles and all the less famous horses who face death on the track. |
