`Horse whisperer' says her 'patients' talk to her about their p...

Anyone that knows horse herd behavior could figure this one out... This lady is totally scamming these people!

At least she doesn't seem to be doing the horses any harm with her mystical claptrap, and if she makes her (human) clients feel better, she's earned her fees. But if I were looking for someone who really understands troubled animals, I'd go straight to Cesar Millan.

I agree with the above remarks. This is just another one of those silly things stupid rich people insist on falling for.

They have so much money burning holes in their pockets, but instead of doing something worthwhile with it, they foolishly fall for this crap. Sad that there are so many dumb people out there.

Are you serious, I thought The Daily News was a paper that is based upon journalism, and of course we all want to read human interest stories, but this scam ??? What kind of research was put into this piece. What has the Daily News become an avenue for strange charlatons to gain publicity ? From the previous comment the Candi Cooper was a very questionable choice for the cover of the paper. We have serious issues with our economy, an election 40 days away, and we are subjected to this awful farce.

Candi Cooper is the journalist Marc Cooper's sister. That's right, the investigative journalist Marc Cooper. She's a skank who bilks people out of their hard-earned money. I've known her for years. Her former racket was insurance fraud. I agree that the Daily News should run a story exposing her for who she is.

i'm not sure what is a bigger stretch... that she can communicate with horses or that she is 51.

Another reason why i do not take the daily news.

For her to call herself "the horse whisperer" and compare herself to Caesar Millan makes me laugh. Caesar Millan uses common sense and psychology to work with animals and figure out behavior problems. He doesn't claim to be "magic" and clearly explains the problem and the solution.

Candi Cooper talks baby talk to the animal and claims they secretly communicate back to her.

After reading this, I need a shovel to pick up the horse apples, and it's not from the horse.

Baby talking is no way to communicate with an animal of incredible weight and putting owners at ease about their animal. The potential harm that may befall a rider by this nutty con is of course front page material. I don't understand who was responsible for placing this on page 1 astounding. What decision does the editor make about promoting a con job on page one, wow you guys really screwed up on this one. Perhaps you could re-name it The Daily Enquirer. Marc Cooper's sister, wow what a proud brother he must be.

Why run a story on such a silly and dishonest person who is an adult that uses baby talk to "communicate" with horses ? Maybe she could fake communicating with Houdini that could be her next racket, Haloween is just around the corner.

CandyCaneCooper might as well be hawking "Magic Medicine" from the back of a truck! She "talks" to the animals like all of us "talk" to our pets...except she's a marketing con artist! She was so afraid to ride her horse, Zero, that she eventually gave him away (or got "rid" of him, however you want to phrase it). I guess she didn't "communicate" with him very well, huh? This article is laughable! Did she trade a "reading" with the writer for a front page story? Come on, Daily News, I thought you were more of a legitimate newspaper!

Candi Cane Cooper is a CON ARTIST.
1. With her sweet voice she cons people into doing things for her (being a hypnotherapist she knows how). She also loves to trade things so that she can get her way.
2. She has never really worked in the horse industry before her horse whispering time that started in late '06. She was a hair dresser and did hair extensions for horses used in commercials or films.
3. she has no prior experience before that with training horses and should not pose to be a horse trainer, giving people advice on how to deal with their horses. She is a LIABILITY to the horse industry.
4. She was a beginner that owned a horse called zero that got so unruly and bucked all the time. She tried to sell him but he came back to her more than twice. She finally got two old horses that were used in the movie industry for people that are actors and couldn barely ride.
5. She had two mini's at one point, one of them she still owns. The other mini was so afraid of humans and being handeled that the halter had to be left on it in order to catch it. She tried selling it and finally gave it away.
6. She gave a reading while another horse was bathed/washed, she said that the horse is telling her that the water was cold. WHEN the water was actually warm (the sun was warming the hose).
There is a reading for you.

PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CON ARTIST and EVERYONE THAT IS LETTING HER COME TO THEIR FACILITY SHOULD NOT SUPPORT THIS PERSON WHO IS A LIABILITY TO THE HORSE INDUSTRY!

I met her when she was married to a photographer who I modeled for. They had a dog "woofie" which her husband loved and I loved too."Woofie" was an Australian Healer, beautiful dog. She took the dog to the pound because the dog would constantly jump on her and scratch her. My heart was broken when I was told she did this for I would have taken the dog instead of it being euthanized.

Just how ridiculous is this? I have seen several types like her and one even worked with the animal's photo telling how the animal feels etc. Give me a break, how stupid do we all look!

I've gone to all of the credits Candi Cane Cooper lists on her my space page
and I could not find these"articles" that she says she was in. All I found was her listing for her ranch advertising herself.
That does not count ! An advertisement is not a feature.
Also why is Candi's response above say Woodland Hills, Sweetwater ranch is in Chatsworth?
