Too bad the kids have to suffer for the adult's inability to do their job. My question is, if he transferred back in April, it shouldn't matter for this year. I know this isn't totally Rotsky's fault, but he does have a history. You would think he would have made sure that the AD took care of it last year. And you know, sometimes it is the kid who wants to play for the guy, not the coach convincing the kid to change schools. Besides the incident in Brunswick ( which I think is more of a problem that what happened in Cleveland Heights) it also happened in Avon Lake a few years ago. Dad gets an apartment for the kid. Wrong, wrong , wrong. That is more cheating than when paperwork is mistakenly forgotten. Too bad the kids suffer.

PLEASE – everyone let not do this again. The name calling and the placing blame. It is not the time for it. Now is the time to come together so this will not to happen to another school. In article written by Tim Warsinskey’s in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on October 20th. He mention that we need to do is get a petition signed by 75 schools to get a referendum on a ballot which will then be sent to the 800 plus high schools in the OHSAA. So that the OHSAA’s hammer will not be as heavy… Yes we lost the appeal, but that was just the battle, the War is not over. However we got to this point we need to come together now and clean up this mess. Please contact you’re A/D, your Coaches (for all sports), and your Superintendent and let them know that this petition is needed. Let’s work together as community.
Please if you have any ill thoughts regarding Coach Rotsky, contact him, tell him how you feel. We are past that, NOW it is about the boys who have work and played so hard that is so unfair to take this away from them. A PROUD FRESHMAN MOM. |

As an Alumni of Cleveland Heights, I was excited to hear how well the Tigers football team was doing. Football is not about one person; it is about a team of players all working hard for one goal. And that is to win. I believe the penalty OHSAA is sanctioning Heights is to steep. The students work hard, each player has a part. It is not the students’ fault mistakes of adults occur and now the impact has to weigh so heavy on the children. NOW it is about the boys who have worked and played so hard that is very unfair to take this away from them. It does not matter that other schools in the past have suffered something similar. Two wrongs don’t make it right. Just because one school had it happen to them does not make it right. It is not right of OHSAA to affect the students in this matter. It is too severe. A rule is one thing, but exceptions and understanding; I do not know the whole situation but from what it sounds like, the school is right and OHSAA ruling is wrong. The schools are supposed to be here for the students. Good luck CHUH and the superintendent. Good luck in more wins in all sports. Go Tigers!
