Did Coach Dent get the OK from the boys basketball to allow Jordan to play. We all know he does not allow his players play other sports.

Let's not start this again. If you look at the soccer team roster there are boys playing on the team, and have been all season, that also play basketball. Grow up

True. But it is a fact that it has and does happen that baketball players are told not to play other sports by the coach. Why be upset with the truth? I know this to be fact..

Sorry I am not. I live here in C-Burg in the Black Community I am Black myself and have talked with what are now former Black players that wanted to and were good at other sports (Football being that sport) Prez, Whitehead and others. They were told by the coach not to play or they would NOT PLAY BASKETBALL FOR HIM!!! FACTS...That is the resaon why I worry about Jordan to make sure he will be allow to play hoops. Know family real well and will be talkingwith them this weekend. We in the black communtiy are not going to watch our kids be told anymore that they can not play other sports by this man.

Isn't it ironic that you use Jordan as your example, yet he already plays another sport, baseball. I can't believe that Coach Shreff still allows him to play basketball. I mean, based on your FACTS, he shouldn't have even tried out for basketball. By the way, Prez did play football and track, and Whitehead played football and lacrosse. So much for your FACTS and knowledge of your community, but I guess when you have an agenda, you'll make up whatever you believe. Nice try, Pinnochio.

Shouldnn't any player who pays the JV coach to promote his performance be ineligible?(More players than you think do so!) Might be easier to fire the coach though!!!

You have no clue. In Jordan's case he has both his mother and father who are both strong people. Prez did not play football his last year was told not to had no father at home and not his fault family was weak. Whitehead did not play his last year father at home only not the kids fault he was weak. You know so much have a question for you.
How many black kids have played for this man and have going off to college with his help? Once he is finished with them he is done with them. Those days are over I will give you (sir or lady) a warning it will not happen anymore to our young black man of Chambersburg...

Nice of you to change the subject once you have been proven wrong. Also, Kavon Bailey and Kyai Williams, players on last year's team, are both in college. Kyai is playing basketball at Mont Alto and Kavon is running track at Lock Haven. If you care so much about them, then be a leader and a supporter, not a hater. There's way too much of that already in Chambersburg.

Never have changed the subject. Again, what are you talking about (change subject)Running track no help from the bball coach here and Kyai playing basketball at Mont Alto no help from him. Thanks for naming two. How many years has he been here? How many blacks kids have played for him? How many in college oh yea you named two.
I do care for my young black man and woman and I do support them which you and your buddy will find out if he does not stop using these black man. I am not a hater as you called me,but if you want to call names I have one for you and your buudy. The facts what does he do for the kids of color NOTHING!!!!!!!

Yeah, very impressive how you turned this article, which could have potentially been the source of a great thread about Jordan, into your own personal agenda, which has zero basis. Furthermore, you make a comment about players not being allowed to play other sports, yet Kavon ran track, Jordan plays baseball and now soccer, Orlando does track, Armond played multiple sports, Jamill played multiple sports, etc., not to mention all the numerous other kids who have played a variety of sports. All you're trying to do is create a problem that exists only in your own mind. Like I said, if you truly cared about these young men, then you should SUPPORT them and everything they're apart of, instead of making excuses and false accusations, because they obviously don't have the parental support (other than Jordan, according to you) that matches your awesome parenting, yet you're really not setting much of an example. Also, nice job of trying to turn this into a racial issue, that's classic! I'm done with this thread.

Great job Jordan for helping out the soccer team! It really demonstrates your selflessness in trying to help the team. Hopefully your leadership will help restore the team's confidence and get everyone back on track to make a great run in the playoffs. Good luck in basketball and baseball as well!!

So are we to assume that the track coach told Aaron Hill not to play basketball his Senior year? This annual complaint is becoming a bit stale...let the man coach and stop turning your personal vendetta into a racial issue.

all coaches request that starters do not participate in contact sports the season before their sport. so for shreff to ask the leading scorers to not participate in sports where they can be hurt and unable to play basketball is understandable, and done by many coaches at CASHS. keep in mind, Tyler Young is also a basketball starter and plays soccer as well. many of the boys play multiple sports. yet its understandable for shreff to not want them to risk their safety and well being a month before season starts, it is unrealistic for him to believe that they won't do it.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Virgo

Someone is easily angered today, and you'll want to tiptoe around them at every opportunity. They might be on the defensive and imagine that you're getting at them all the time, or they could be quick to point the finger of blame straight at you. It won't be an easy day, but try not to get swept up in the emotional dramas that are swirling around you. They'll only exhaust you.
