As a former boy scout and athlete, I can recall the 'right of passage' that came along with being on the team/troop. Some very funny stories!

I don't know if I'm missing something here or if I'm just plain old. "Right of passage" does not give ANYONE the right to INVADE another's body or personal space for that matter. And you say now it's called "harassment". If there was penetration, it's condsidered rape. I don't care what gender, team memeber or troop did it.

I really do hope I misunderstood what you were saying because this IS NOT OK!! This is a crime and that uneducated principal needs to take a course on what constitutes a crime whether the students are physically injured or not. He didn't even consider the emotional damage this does to any person!! It sounds like to me, he wants this kept as low key as possible.

This is just an outrage. I do believe something horrific happened at the Robertson football camp. Why would a boy come home to tell his mother he had been sodomized on yesterday's news report and the recant today in your report. Here we go, someone is covering for someone so that consequences won't be as harsh on the victims later on. It's the same cover up as usual, it's not what you know, it's who you know. I wanted to see the attackers punished especially the "mastermind" of the incident, MG. His mother works for CYFD and she has been quoted as saying "I advocate for children." Is she going to advocate for the victims her son has created? As Mr. Councilman tries to find ways out of this one, let's see who he uses on his quest to getting his way as usual. I know some people will rally around the "G" family but they need to take a long hard look at what their oldest son has become. Snotty to peers thinking he's liked by all, and how he thinks he rules the school. We want him and the rest of the molesters out of our school, out of town, and for the respect of the victims put in an institution for sexual offenders until they reach the age of majority.

This is going out to the Gallegos clan. You as parents thought you taught your "boy" well. You didn't, Mr. Gallegos showed him not to fear the law because if you're councilman you can get away with anything in Las Vegas. Mrs. Gallegos acts as though she has the perfect little family. When the boy got slapped by a coach last year the parents were ready to sue the school but now that the tables have turned and your son has done much, much worse are you going to make the scandal you did when your son was the victim? 1/4 of the student body doesn't like your kid because of his "high and mighty attitude" taught by his father and another 1/4 of the students don't like your son because his mother taught him to be a cry baby when things aren't his way. The other 1/2 of the students will want him out of their school plus dislike him for being a pervert, a rapist, and just plain mental. I truly hope the victims and their families get justice and maybe you Mr. and Mrs. G along with the perpertator will stop looking down your nose and the rest of Vegas.

Im sorry mr boy scout that you were raped by your peers with a hot dog im glad you moved past it and got on with your life but that does not mean that it was right and the boys who did that to you or the students at RHS should fase stiff consequences for there actions so if you think it is still funny that boys went to football camp to better there football skills and get to know there team mates then maby you need some mental help yourself

This is why RHS is such a terrible school. Because of people who believe that they are able to get away with anything they do. Those who go ditching everyday, those who get high in the restrooms, those who think they are to "cool" for school. I am a junior at RHS and I'm sorry to say that. How we made AYP is beyond me. This was not HAZING this was RAPE! Hazing is teasing, not being sodomized by a broomstick! As a fellow student of Micheal Gallegos(the master-mind of this hideous crime) I have to admit that I am not surprised the least bit he did this. It's his horrid personality. I am not a friend of his, I loathe him. He walks around school like he owns it. I do not resent those who use popularity to get through school because I am fully aware that when they leave high school they will be nothing in life. Micheal wants to be a dentist, so he can put little kids out and fondle them. The second I heard of the situation I knew it was him. I knew it was his plan. There he is teasing all the gay kids in school, then he goes to conformation class to praise god. WTF. He teases a student during practice and gets into a fight with the coach, and the coach puts him in his place and it was a huge scandle! Ridiculous! Mr. G your kid is a fuck up, and to make you proud he was trying to get on steroids. Oh, and in that nice white little mustang you got him, he takes his gf out ditching all the time to have sex in it. Mrs. G, you walk around like your shit doesn't stink because you have the "perfect" family, and because you "protect" abused and deprived children. The best thing you can do for the young men that were sodomized is support them. They were not only humiliated during the "hazing", as they call it, but can you imagine the humiliation they are feeling now? It's really hard for them right now but I hope the families have been advised to seek the proper counseling for them. The authorities know where they can get the help.

Another thing you can do for these young men is show up at any court hearings and sit on the side of the court room behind the victims. Nothing needs to be said. The judge and others will see the community support these men have. This will mean more to the victims than you'll ever know. It could have happened to anyone and now is the time to rally around the them quietly. If it seems as nothing is being done or things seem to be swept under the carpet someone needs to contact the attorney general's office. DON"T let this horrific act be forgotten.

I don't mean to sound like a know it all, I used to work at the Rape Crisis Center and I have seen what "a show in large numbers" does to help. My heart is hurting so bad for these young men and their families. They will survive and come out stronger because of this. God bless you all and give you strength to come together as a community to fight injustices in your town. It is a beautiful town and your town, save it!

I might have missed something, I didn't see anything about age, but.......I do think age does come into play here as far as how the perverts are charged. It makes a big difference.
