Friday's high school football final scores

well well I guess lenny does have a crush on chuck veliz, for a month we have to see montwood hogging up the sports page like no other teams or coaches exist in el paso, so what happens they get a butt kicking on friday night and not one word about it in lenny's page, just a score, what you must have chuck veliz's cell in your speed dial you couldn't call him for a memorable quote, you didn't had space enough for the coronado and franklin losses. we know your biased twards your buddy veliz but it is bush not to report when montwood loses, now if they has won they would have been on the front page, well lets what happens next week

whats up with el paso football??? WHY CANT WE HANG WITH OUT OF TOWN TEAMS??? Both Las Cruces teams killed two of our better teams, Lubbock killed franklin, and montwood got whacked by Odessa. Our little Mexican kids here cant hang with the bigger players out of town.

good question... but you do know Mayfield would get crushed against the West Texas teams... and Mayfield is the best the state of NM has... so go figure how tough Texas teams truly are... El Paso is getting better but they got to start beating the Lubbock teams already... I still think Montwood is likely going to win 1-5A... Canutillo has a battle this friday against Austin @Canutillo it should be a great game!

It may have been luck but it's still a win for Austin and a loss for the rangers!

Montwood sucks...and Coach Veliz has his head so blown up that he can't even think straight anymore...put him in a different sport like cricket or something like that....he'll never take Montwood anywhere...he's just not a ffotball coach.

You're right, there's no way NM teams can hang with the likes of Lubbock or Midland/Odessa. Those guys eat, breathe and sleep football.

Cause the out of town teams have majority of bigger, and faster black and white guys that are born and bred football, and not slow overweight Latinos raised on Tamales.
El Paso is a predominantly Latino area with few black and white players.
Latino's aren't the greatest football players as the other 2 races.
I don't know WHY these El Paso High School Football teams like to go against these dominant football programs who have more talent.
Wait a minute, that sounds like the Miners.

Maybe the Latinos should come to California to play some of the high schools that are dominated by Asians!

you my friend dont know anything. a couple of years ago las cruces high went to odessa and beat them. but that was when cruces was spanking everyone.

A win against Odessa Middle School doesn't count:)

The top El Paso teams pretty much got spanked by Southern NM teams over the last two weeks so you have to turn to the rest of west tx teams to shore up your insecurities, and looking at the final scores there isnt much difference.
