Nobody is saying it was appropriate. But nowhere in the news does it say that the forwarding of the text was an ACCIDENT! Forwarding texts is the trend just like forwarding emails used to be. This coach did NOT exculively send it to this one student, he sent it out to many individuals AT THE SAME TIME (just like people do with email)....He sent it to this student by MISTAKE, which anyone who forwards texts knows it is easy to do...and everyone has made more than one stupid mistake in their lifetime. It's understandable how your generation might think this forwarding of texts is stupid or not humorous....just the way our generation will probably NEVER understand how your generation thought "kick the can" was cool! News Flash - Last I checked God wanted us to leave the "judging" to him...so may he have mercy on your soul as well.

Jenny, I agree with you the text was inappropriate for a student to receive and it was a mistake. In fact I think it would be safe to say most of us have sent a text in error to someone. Unfortunately it happens. Too bad people are quick to judge and jump to conclusions. My son was one of over 100 students that participated in a peaceful "We support Coach" rally held at TMS. It was planned at the last minute if not I sure would have drawn many many more. The support for him has been overwhelming! I am sure he is appreciative. To everyone else, I sure you have sent an email, forwarded a text or said something inappropriate in ERROR. Watch what you say because next time it might be you being judged!

Viewing and sharing beastiality porn in New Mexico must not be that far out of the norm, The way some of you people are sticking up for this guy. If you people think the only thing he did wrong was send it to the wrong person I feel sorry for you... and your pets.

But not all of the facts about this case have not been released. Once they are I believe Coach Trujillo will be allowed back to teaching and coaching. Do you know for a fact it was him who used the phone to send the video? Do you know it was him who downloaded it to his phone? If so please tell me how you know. There is more to this story than the media is reporting.

"Charity starts at HOME" The first time? the first time you viewed it? I'd hate to ask how many times you've seen it so i will assume, you're saying of the countless times you've viewed beastiality, the first time you got the message from someone from Wisconsin? I wouldn't go classifying everyone from Wisconsin that way because of some sick b@stard,(not unlike yourself) who enjoys watching some guy cornholing an animal happens to be your friend. I will just judge you and your friends who get off on it. Shame on you...you pervert.

Its funny how most newpapers are written at the elementary level and you can't read and/or comprehend one little article! Maybe you should work on your comprehension skills before you start judging and calling people names... If you practice enough maybe people won't laugh at you for acting as if you know everything when you can't comprehend an article that was written at the 5th grade level.... What a shame!

For someone who doesn't deserve your a response I got 3!!! Actually, I think articles are generally written at an 8th grade level, but maybe not in New Mexico, I mean, I clearly didn't get the message that this awesome coach sent a video of a man [not the coach] rogering (that's another word you might have to look up) an animal. Please continue attacking me and defending your fellow statesman. I read about this on Badjocks.com , this is famous. By the way I'm not a psychic, I'm and Oil man, a prospector, I find the oil, you pump the gas.

First of all, I dont know the coach, and am not from Taos.
Im of "the text generation" and I get some raunchy stuff sent to me from time to time. I can't control who sends ME things, but I can control what I SEND to other people. If someone sent me a text of a person having sex with an animal I would be appalled and NOT re-send that crap for other people to see. The buck stops with me. Yes I have gotten other nice things like poems, songs etc and I will resend those...but this is a freaking text about someone having sex with an ANIMAL!!! why on earth would ANYONE find that funny enough to pass along? What about that terrible case in ABQ earlier this month about the guy breaking into the animal shelter and raping a dog?!?!?!??!? Geez
This guy is a cocah, and Im assuming a teacher as well. He showed very very poor judgement in re-sending this text to other people..and frankly it's really his word against everyone elses whether he sent this to the girl intentionally or not. If she USED to be a manager to his team, why does he still have her number? Even more, why doesnt he just have her home number? Is it appropriate to have her personal cell number too? I dunno...maybe I am behind on the times but it seems inappropriate to have a student's personal cell phone in the first place.
ANYONE who is part of the public eye (teachers, police, judges, attorneys, doctors, etc) need to really, really be careful in this new age of technology. Look at how many people have gotten in trouble over myspaces, facebooks, texts, youtubes....etc. I have lots of friends that are teachers, and they keep a very low profile because they recognize how inappropriate behaviors can really ruin a career. Case in point.

Case in point. First of all, it was not to a female student, the news misreported that (what a suprise) Second of all, I nor do my fallible friends, go around updating/deleting entries from our phonebooks on a daily/monthly basis. I guess you and your perfect friends are the only ones who do. FYI....on the video, the man was not initiating sex with the animal, the animal actually attacked the man; therefore, the incident that happened last month is totally unrelated. I wish people would get their facts straight before they throw the first stone. Oh...I forget you and your friends are all perfect and have probably NEVER made any mistakes in life. LMAO yeah right!

And you know all the facts of this case. FYI it was not to a female it was a male that received it. It doesn’t really make a difference but at least know the facts before you speak. WOW I must have missed a lot! Thanks for the update! I do not feel the text was appropriate but know that this is out of Coach Trujillo's character and I know there is more to then the investigation than OK he did it. Why do you think it is taking so long? Just don't pass judgment before it's due.

Hmm.. People are very good at throwing stones. I know of several cases that people are judging blindly. You see, the media sensationalizes what may have happened. They will portray this man as a predator and the type of person that has deliberately sought out a student to victimize. They don’t care, and the public in general is too dumb to actually do something as difficult as form an independent opinion. People are sheep. They follow what the media shepherds have to say and BAHHH themselves right off the cliff of ignorance. No one cares if someone is actually innocent. Once they are tried and convicted in the Circus of the Media, everyone will see them as a monster. This man’s life may be ruined by gossip and mis-information. And no one will give a crap except those people who are closest to him and KNOW, concretely KNOW, who he is and the constitution of his character. Keep up the fight…. But realize it may be in vain.

Very well said. Thank you! The most disturbing thing about this whole incident is exactly that his life may be ruined. You were exactly correct! It is very sad that even if he is proven not guilty that he will still be looked down upon. Judgmental people may have just ruined one of the best teachers around.:(
