Sounds like a kid who was pushed all her life and now at 18 has issues. So now Geno will have to live on $1.5million a year.

Folks, keep in mind that this is still a game played by some very talented kids. It's a GAME.

Elena's well being comes first. Period.

We would love to have her join our Husky family and we will support her decision no matter what she decides. Let her work out her issues knowing that we will be here for her, just like we should treat our own kids. That's how UCONN treats its own and the fans in Connecticut already see Elena as part of the family.

We'll be here when you are ready.

Sounds like the kid who has been pampered all her youth and high school days got a taste of the big girls giving her the freshman treatment and dad wasn't around to protect her so she went running home for that warm fuzzy hug from her support staff. Maybe Geno should let her father room with her at college and protect her from the real world.

How exactly was her dad pushing?? He dropped her off at school so she could get a free education and play basketball. She apparently couldnt handle it. How exactly is it the dad pushing her that caused her to up and leave after a day?

If my kid ever asked to come home from college after 2 days, he'd be looking for a new place to live ASAP.

My son was an excellent three sport athlete in high school and every one of his coaches wanted him to specialize in their sport. They all suggested summer camps, summer leagues, and AAU, so he would realize his potential in their sport. My son wanted his summers off, and I agreed with him. He wouldn't have traded his experiences being a captain of three high school sports and leading different athletes, for a full ride to a Division I school. He had fun during his summers, and he didn't look at sports as a full time job.

Elena just wants some time off away from all the pressure, as she did last summer. Everyone deserves some time off, so give the girl a break.

PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!!!!!!! I'm talking about those who have nothing to do but bad mouth a 17 or 18 year old girl.
It's not this girls fault if her father pushed her to far (which we don't know to be true). It's not this girls fault if people treated her special because she can play basketball.
Point is, she's a young lady that needs time and having trouble adjusting to new suroundings and to a new level of basketball. As a husky fan I hope she plays for us, but if not, good luck Elena

I'm sure some of useless mean spirited comments are by those with their own agenda. This is a young kid, at her age each bump in the road seems like the end of the world. I hope she gets the time, peace & quiet to sort out the issues she's facing.

First, Geno cancels the Huskies' summer camps; then, EDD leaves after two days. What's going on at UConn?

Gee I read the paper everyday and then I have to see this garbage.

One questions, since she is likely pregnant, how does one make a horse pregnant?

As much as I dislike UCONN, I hope this young lady gets back to basketball...I was looking forward to watching her play. UCONN is the team to beat...and with her they would have the Championship at their fingertips. Good Luck Delle
